The Case For John Lynch

August 1st, 2017

Defending John Lynch.

Yes, there seems to be a stigma against John Lynch “in the room” among factions of Pro Football Hall of Fame voters.

Tampa Bay’s lone selector to the Hall, JoeBucsFan.com columnist eye-RAH! Kaufman, has noted that several times. Hell, a kicker got into Canton last winter over John Lynch. A kicker!

Well, Peter Schrager is fed up. In a passionate defense of Lynch and his Hall credentians, Schrager, a co-host of “Good Morning, Football” on NFL Network, sounded off for Lynch. It was pretty cool stuff.

You can watch Schrager’s spot below.

Lynch will make it but probably in another 15-20 years, really think Ronde should be first ballot and simeon should get in as well sooner rather than later

  3. SB Says:

“he occupied a spot in your mind”
He should get in for that alone

Schrager made some great points, and yeah, Lynch is truly IS not just a Hall-of-Fame worthy football player but as a person as well.

He visited a friend of mine’s daughter when she was in the hospital with a life-threatening situation, a total stranger to him, and spent some time with her and other children there as well. Just like the recipients of his bone-crunching hits, that’s something we’ll never forget.

Lynch was a very solid player – time will tell whether or not he gets into the HoF.

  8. DislocatedBucsFan Says:

Him going to the niners probably will postpone his enshrinement

#47 is my all-time favorite Buccaneer and tied for my all-time favorite player “The Assassin” Jack Tatum. He definitely deserve to be a HOFer. The NFL changed the rules because of the legal hits he put on receivers, when they change the rules because of the style in which you play you have impacted the game for all-time and should be in the HOF.

Let Barry Sanders pitch the HOF selection committee instead of Ira.
