Winning The Division
June 2nd, 2017There are predictions and there are predictions.
And then there’s going all in.
That’s what heavy metal headbanger Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports did. While predicting the Bucs will make the playoffs this season seems to be the it thing to do, La Canfora takes it another step.
He believes the Bucs will win the NFC South.
In a CBS Sports video, La Canfora claims the Bucs will win the division, based partly on the weapons Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht has added, but mostly because of America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston.
You can watch La Canfora’s explanation in the video below.

We are in a tough division, but we have the talent to compete with any team.
It is our DEPTH that is lacking, compared to the very best teams.
I think the playoffs are in our future this year, at least.

If Jameis makes a jump and we stay healthy (2 big ifs), we will be right there!

At this point I am more concerned about beating Miami,

2 years in a row we were in the playoff hunt. Last year with no receivers and hurt running backs. Then? Wash , rinse and repeat in year 3? If that happens look out!

Apparently no one at ESPN likes the Bucs chances this season. Noticed yesterday that ESPN put out their ‘Football Power Index (FPI) makes its predictions for the 2017 NFL season’ article & rated our Bucs #16 this season, below the Falcons & Panthers & tied with the Saints (http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/19504913/fpi-makes-predictions-2017-nfl-season ). They also had us coming in last in the NFC South with a 14% chance of winning the division and a 0.8% chance of winning the SB. Don’t like ESPN.

We watch sportscenter and you’ll see Espn is the most garbage outlet in sports

JLC is a really nice guy, can’t say the same about her….

Man I hope so. It is time we took our rightful place at the top of the division.

One thing you have to give the NFL credit for is parity. As the late Chris Thomas used to say…NFL stands for No Freaking Logic because it’s so hard to handicap the league.
Right now we’re all having fun as we “play” the battle on paper part of our season. We’ll KNOW a lot more come September.
But let’s face it…gotta take your wins where you can get them and I don’t want to have to wait until September so I’m going to enjoy our off season butt kicking of our Division.
Carolina made a bit of a splash with two “playmakers” with speed in McCaffery and Samuels….I like the acquisitions but I like ours a lot better!
New Orleans??? I don’t see much difference there…Atlanta is the team that is still paper champion.
The Falcons….ON PAPER…have an edge at QB…based on experience…yeah I prefer #3 as well but just stating the CW here..
Running game…Falcons
WR’s….We have the numbers they have JJ.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Atlanta-Tampa Bay doesn’t become a very fashionable and important rivalry for the next few years.

Boy if we dont make the playoffs…..with all the great drafting….all the weapons on offense….a top tier coaching staff….that’s going to be a hot mess. Especially if Mariota/Titans make it.

Winning the division is the only way to ensure a team gets into the playoffs – so I hope the Bucs can get-r-done.
