Moist Balls And Diving Efforts
June 7th, 2017So what’s happening on the practice fields of One Buc Palace this week?
The well-placed, in-house camera crew of Buccaneers.com is filming, and the Bucs are sharing very select nuggets on their website and social media. Scrutinizing media like Joe won’t be allowed in until tomorrow.
The rains are coming down, as everyone from downtown St. Pete to Winter Haven knows too well, and Joe already shared the acrobatics of cornerback Vernon Hargreaves flying through the rain for a Monday pass breakup.
Yesterday, it was time for another second-year cornerback to shine. It’s little known Ryan Smith, last year’s fourth-round pick. Watch the video here. You can see Smith intercept a very sour throw from America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, to Chris Godwin. It is quite a play from Smith, who is trying to win the first-backup cornerback gig.
Definitely watch the video. Look at the pass rush engulfing Jameis in underwear football.
It’s just one June moment and a great appetizer for the feast we all crave, hitting in training camp (just seven weeks away).
Joe thinks it’s great the Bucs are getting work in the rain and on moist fields. That experience is critical for Jameis and his receiving corps, as well as new snapper/center Ali Marpet.

After further review, the call on the field is reversed. Incomplete pass.

Haven’t seen this guy play yet on defense. I have seen him make more then a few plays on STeams lastt year. It sure sounds like the Bucs like what they seen and a roster spot is his to lose. He will defientaly be somebody I am going to focus on in August for the preseason games.

Moist balls lol geez. At least over in Tampa it appears to be stopping, but over here on the east coast, the rain just keeps on coming. Moist balls indeed.
