“Club, Rip”
June 25th, 2017Noah Spence is known for busting rip moves throughout your neighborhood Winn Dixie and Publix aisles. It’s just something he does.
Defensive end Will Gholston shares his work publicly in a more traditional location.
Gholston was up in Michigan this weekend hosting his free football camp at his former high school.
The video below isn’t your typical camp look. It really takes you inside Gholston teaching. Very cool stuff. Gholston is a truly inspirational guy after dealing with homelessness as a child.
As for the Buccaneers, Gholston was interviewed at the camp and told the Detroit Free Press he has big goals and the Bucs made him feel desired.
“It was an easy decision once I figured out they really wanted me there,” Gholston said. “I don’t feel like I’ve arrived, in any way, shape or form. There’s so much stuff I want to do when it comes to the game. I’ve dedicated my life to football and want to have a lasting impression with my legacy. I don’t want to just be somebody who played.”
Can’t blame Gholston for saying he needed to figure out whether “they really wanted me there.” The guy had four defensive coordinators and three head coaches in his first four Tampa Bay seasons, after being drafted in the fourth round back in 2013. That would mess with any player’s head.

I describe Will Gholston in 2 words…Heart & Hustle…
The scary thing is, he still hasn’t reached his ceiling…I’m glad we resigned him…I believe he can develop into a double digit sack per year caliber DE…Coach Hayes has a history off developing young pass rushers so the skies the limit for Gholston and the rest of our young rushers…

I think Jay Hayes will let the dogs out this season, but Mike Smith needs to help them out

Never forget the time Gholston signed his rookie deal and went back and paid a man back the gas money he owed him. gave him $100 for a $20 debt.

OneBuc, I hear you. I don’t see Gholston as a 10-sack guy, but I do think he has the potential to get six to eight with the right training. And he is an absolute Beast against the Run. Love having him here.

A training camp highlight for me will be watching OJ learn how to block for reals…primarily against this guy who TE’s simply cannot block. Love me some Will Gholston, GO BUCS!!!

its a shame the team lacked leaders on defense gholston’s first two years. who knows how much being around losers stunted his growth. I am excited for gholston this year. he and ayers need to set the tone early

Will is at the perfect age to take it to his max..He’s only 25, but an old soul..Mature beyond his years, with a burning hunger in the belly to be even better..he is NOW surrounded with the right coaches and teammates..
Oh man, oh man..can the season get here??

Agreed 79. No matter what side of the ball, seems like there is a good player to match up against in practice and OTAs. Especially good for the young guys. OJ/Gholston/Spence, DJax/VHIII, etc…
