The handful of Bucs fans who are heavily afflicted with ADD and have the attention span of a housefly won’t like this.
You know the type. “Distractions… distractions… DISTRACTIONS!!!” Everything is a distraction to these folks. The paint color on the wall, the way the toilet paper rolls inward and not outward, the way the mailman places the letters in the mailbox unnerves them so.
No matter how much Joe types that this nonsense of distractions is overblown in the NFL, no matter how Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht says it, no matter how winning Bucs coach Dirk Koetter explains it, these people refuse to neither listen nor understand, likely because a pin dropping on the carpet freaks them out.
Well, the following should send these same folks racing to their psychologist. Bucs nails-eating middle linebacker Kwon Alexander wants “Hard Knocks” to feature the Bucs.
That’s what the Jameis of the Bucs defense Twittered today for all the world to read.

Yes, Joe stands corrected here. Alexander doesn’t want “Hard Knocks.” He said the Bucs need “Hard Knocks.”

I thought most teams sucked the season they were on Hard Knocks but was actually feeling better after looking it up.

Yep I researched that too Lord. I found out that every team has a 37.5% (12 of 32) chance of making the playoffs. Hard Knock teams have a 40% chance of making the playoffs since 4 of the 10 have made it that season.
That means there is a slightly better chance than the average team to make the playoffs. Consider the fact you’re only eligible for Hard Knocks if you didn’t make the playoffs the year before and it’s even more promising.

You may be confusing ADD with OCD. But yeah, “Hard Knocks” would really mess up an NFL player who has OCD. Still, it seems like Adderall isn’t hard to come by in the NFL so they should be OK in the long run.

That’s OCD Joe! I have ADD and I can’t stay the F off of your website because everything Bucs excites my brain. I would love for nothing more than Bucs to be on hard knocks, I’m sure others with ADD would as well. I think you need to show a little more love for your biggest supporters the ones that are on here daily, because I’m sure they have ADD, because nothing about this website is being productive in life, if they are on here they are getting sidetracked from productive things they should be doing. Anything Bucs related is fuel for the fire to be unleashed when the games count. If the Bucs make it onto Hard Knocks I too believe the follow up regular season will be special.

Hard Knocks has absolutely zero to do with how a team does during the regular season. It doesn’t help, it doesn’t hurt, it has the same effect as whether or not I am there or not. To think otherwise is really dumb.

87. I’m an ADHD guy as well, that why I multitask like a mofo! I have had a great sales career to boot. I will say though, I am on this site off and on all day. This site is the perfect design for ADD, short articles and pictures. It drives me nuts when Bucs news is slow and Joe cranks a reasonable amount of content instead of his awesome daily content of the season.

The fact that a player wants to be on TV is no surprise. Many of these guys crave that attention. It’s part of what motivates athletes. So, I don’t care if Kwon wants to be on Hard Knocks. I think the added attention has no real upside. I think the fact that Koetter isn’t afraid of it helps a lot, but I still think they’d be better off without it. But… I have no choice in the matter. If it were up to me, all these sports-reality shows would be off the air anyway.

joes you are going to have to create a snowflake section soon to protect the oversensitive readers where only hugs, positive comments and PC chit chat goes on. In my opinion, one of the reasons JBF is hugely popular, is because it is not watered down PC BS 24 x 7 like other agenda driven sights. it’s real fans spouting off for better or worse. if the team is too mentality weak to handle a few extra cameras how in the hell are they going to handle a playoff run or a super bowl run… the we don’t need this crowd are the same ones that think defense wins championships and conservative play calling and prevent defenses are exciting. oh and don’t let me leave out the idiots in the bubble wrap crowd that think players should never practice or take part if padded reps.

the biggest concern I have about Hard Knocks is how Cancer93 reacts to all the young charismatic bucs getting all the attention. The new bucs are the future the hold overs especially the leader of the losing culture must be eradicated or neutered for the team to achieve the dream

You know the type: The ones that will argue with you on Twitter that a guard or a safety are equally important as a quarterback.

I’m all in for Hard Knocks. This may be the last chance we’ll have for a decade.
I do disagree with Joe on the no distraction thing…with the wrong team at the wrong time, it can be a distraction. The Bucs have just crossed over that threshold though, so I don’t think it is an issue.
If anything, I think it will bolster the players ‘swag’ a bit.

I get what you are saying, but really, Hard Knocks has nothing to do with the Buccaneers regular season. It takes place in Training Camp, so of course it won’t affect the win-loss record. No more than, say, Fan Fest.

I called Spectrum today to bitch about how much they are charging me while constantly throwing it in my face with advertising everywhere that I could be paying half what I have been if I was a “new” customer of theirs. Well I didn’t get what I wanted which was the $29.95 per service they offer for a year if you aren’t already a loyal customer. Why they value new clients so much more than established, longtime clients is beyond me and very bad business practice if you ask me.
But I was able to get $30 knocked off my bill with faster internet speed and the addition of HBO/Cinemax so now I’m all about the Bucs being on Hard Knocks this year.

Sure he deleted the tweet because the team is already aware that they will be on Hard Knocks and it was a bad look for HBO being that they haven’t announced it to the public.
Bucs on Hard Knocks is the best decision HBO could’ve made!! There’s no better NFL franchise to spotlight than our Bucs right now, and that includes the teams that weren’t eligible. Now we’re about to let the world know that we’re coming!!!

AS a lifetime Bucs fan who was born in Tampa, I can tell all of yas, Hard Knocks is great for us. Initially, I was against it. But WE need a lot more support people. When I first moved out west here in Utah/AZ, I was laughed at for wearing TB gear. Still I proudly wore it as I do today. Nowadays, I hear’em sayin out here, Tampa Bay gots a bright future!! But we need to expand out fan base. However/Wherever we can. NO..I’m not satisfied with all of our moves..never have been..BUTT…We are close. How close? remains to be seen. I give al lotta negative comments… Here and there. Butt we have made quite a few bone head moves over our history. Hopefully, our time approaches…I’M READY!!!!!!!!!!!
