My kind of Ira podcast! Very smooth utilizing Ira’s immense knowledge without interruption from a third person. Ira and Steve have the chemistry to keep the flow of intelligence going. Good job guys!

On the topic of his supposed ‘sexist’ comments, Winston proclaims himself to be a Christian. What he said was almost a quote from the Bible.
And I’m sorry, but he was not wrong in what he said.
On a personal level, I wish my wife would be silent more often!

Oh, Joe, respect for the media is low because there is no longer accountability.

Of course there is accountability. It is called revenue. No longer do newspapers have monopolies. Folks can now choose where to get their information which drives the ink-stained stenographers with their 19th century news delivery service bananas.

What I meant is that no one calls them on stories anymore. There was a time when media had to prove their stories were tru. Now they just use “unnamed sources” to make up stories.
I mean, yes, there are honorable guys out there too (you, Ira and some others), but the other have given everyone a bad reputation. Money isn’t accountability. Not when making up stories brings in more money.
This coming from a guy who makes up stories for a living, lol. But at least I call it fiction 😉

Ira and The Joes,
I’m grateful for this podcast especially your points made about the local paper. I don’t have strong political leanings in either direction but it’s obvious the Tampa Bay Times has a high level agenda in their reporting. I’m sick and tired of TBT staff and their readers pretending there is no blatant agenda in their reporting. It’s there, and it’s fine. I read the Huffington Post at times but they don’t pretend to be an objective news organization. Even with their so-called “Politifact” the stories they choose to predominately highlight should be obvious.
