“Schmoe” And Lavonte David

February 14th, 2017

Meets “The Schmoe.”

Joe’s good friend Jason McIntyre, brainchild and ruler of TheBigLead.com, has decided to go edgy.

McIntyre decided to hire what looks like some troll from Chicago who moved to Vegas and glosses himself as “The Schmoe.” And he crossed paths with Bucs linebacker Lavonte David last week in Houston.

“The Schmoe” immediately badgers David for not getting 100 tackles last year. You can see the full encounter below.

Love lavonte but damn man got no tv swag

  2. BuccaneerByBirth Says:

Haha love it. Somebody gotta keep him accountable for the NONEXISTENT first half of the year!

  3. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Says:

I wonder whatever happened to Lavante, the first 1/2 of the season ?

  4. Pickgrin Says:

Wow – the “Shmoe” is kind of creepy.

LaVante did a nice job of playing along with the weird guy.

No doubt that LD54’s performance in 2016 as a whole was not up to par with what we have seen from him in past years. Great player who apparently needs to work on his consistency. I’m glad he’s our WLB though – I’ll say that.

Looking for a big year from LaVonte and Kwon this coming season…

I think that guy is going for the ‘Hunter/Gonzo’ style journalism but it’s an epic Fail.

  6. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    David will (better) bounce back.

I firmly believe what we are witnessing this off season is the calm before the storm.

The tide is rolling out…the water level is dropping. Next comes a Tsunami!

Does anyone besides me think that LDs problem has to be a mental thing because as far as I know there were no physical issues, right? He needs to find the fire!

  8. Eric Says:

As they had previously explained, one of Lavonte’s biggest issues is the fact that he had to compensate for a rookie in Kwon in 2015. He was also learning a new scheme in 2016 as well.

The guy has seen, what like 4 schemes since he’s been a professional? It was pretty evident he was his strongest under Schiano who brought the heat and had him blitzing a lot more. Dude has been constantly adjusting to playing coverage, blitzing, going over the middle, playing the run, etc. Now that he has a second year system, a successful system at that, he is aligned to take the next step into what I’m hoping is another elite season.

I just hope Smith brings the heat more this season. I remember watching games from the couch and being like, dude blitz more often. Smith started to do so after the falcons game on tnf and our d took off. Lvd off the edge is an untapped resource that needs to be utilized more often.
