The Bucs’ 2017 Schedule

January 1st, 2017
Blount

Here come the Patriots

It’s in the books for your second-place Buccaneers!

The 2017 season features lots of games against popular teams, which should land the Bucs a chunk of night games.

Joe will guess three night games will appear on the initial schedule when it’s released in April, one of Joe’s favorite days of the year.

At home, the Bucs will face the following teams:

Jets
Patriots
Giants
Lions
Bears
Saints
Panthers
Falcons

On the road, here’s where Tampa Bay will travel:

Arizona
Green Bay
Minnesota
Buffalo
Miami
New Orleans
Carolina
Atlanta

Fun stuff ahead. Joe has fingers crossed so the football gods don’t stick the Bucs with after-Thanksgiving games in Green Bay and Buffalo.

Will LeGarrette Blount and Darrelle Revis come home to Tampa with their respective teams?

Miko Grimes traveling to watch Brent Grimes in Miami could be quite a spectacle.

On paper it’s brutal. tough games. Dirk needs 0 wins to show improvement of the last regime

  2. Mike Evans GOAT Says:

I hope we play in GB early in the year. I’ll be @ that game

  3. NJBucsFan Says:

    Let the record guessing commence

  4. James Walker Says:

    10-6? Maybe?

  5. Mike Evans GOAT Says:

If the Broncos win we will pick 18. This win today cost us about 5 spots. But I’m ok with that. We will need to trade up in the 2nd if we want D Onte Forman

  6. Stpetebucsfan Says:

Next year with a solid draft and a couple of key FA’s like Grimes and Ayers this year, we’ll be the team that’s hard to beat.

Time to stop looking at the schedule and say well this team or that team is tough and probably an L…Nope…we’re going to be the team that’s tough next year.
Teams will have to fear us not the other way around.

  7. Rod Munch Says:

Wow, that is a brutal away schedule. At Arizona, at Minnesota, at Green Bay and at Buffalo – which may or may not be a big deal depending on when the NFL schedules it. Then the Pats and Giants at home. Man, why can’t the Bucs ever get that AFC South schedule? Mariota has to be loving what will probably be their cupcake schedule, well from his rehab room.

  8. SB with Jameis Says:

I see what you did there Shadow Man……..Big Hog, Kobe, and Mike Johnson REALLY dislike your comment though…… šŸ™‚

    ………………………….

  10. SB with Jameis Says:

We are not in the position to trade up for anyone right now IMO. We have needs that should be addressed on schedule .

  11. DallasBuc Says:

Patriots will be paying rent in our culo next season

  12. DallasBuc Says:

Love this schedule. Great chance to make a strong run. Starts with taking care of business in NFC south.
We swept the Panthers and split with Atlanta and NO. That is an arrow pointing up.

  13. University of Seffner Says:

Right now, I’m not worried about next years schedule. I don’t start making predictions until after FA, NFL Draft, and Rookie Signings. Once we head into the Preseason, then a prediction gets easier.

  14. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    That schedule looks brutal!!!!!

But hey, if you wanna be the best………you gotta beat the rest

  15. richbucsfan Says:

what say 4-12 with that schedule? I don’t understand why the Bucs schedule is always more difficult than New Englands…

  16. Mikadeemas Says:

Ok rodmuncher, time to go hug a root! Credibility lost! We played the AFC south LAST YEAR….idiot!!

  17. Kevin Nieto Says:

Miami has a London home game next year – could the Bucs be heading abroad?

  18. 1Gr8Buc Says:

Mikadeemas beat me to it. Totally clueless jack@$$

  19. Ryan Says:

No one cares about Mrs Grimes.

  20. rayjay1122 Says:

Absolutely NOTHING can be speculated about how we will fare based on the schedule. A lot changes for every team in the off season and there will be teams that are playoff teams this year, that falter next year. Happens every year….except to the Patriots.

  21. tdtb2015 Says:

    Yes! SPBF

Is time to change the “DEN of Depression” to a new name!

Is time for fans to respect what this young team gifts us with this year and start having a different mind set. Our Bucs deserve that. This is a new team.

The work Licht and Koetter are doing is promising.

    Go Bucs!!! Good job!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. Fred E. Buc Says:

You can bet the Bucs will be on the frozen tundra of Wisconsin. They schedulers think that is funny as he11, going back to the old NFC Central when the Bucs and Packers were rivals. It’s the same reason they brought the Packers here in December a year ago and we literally saw drunk Cheeseheads cooking their pasty white hams in the Florida sun. Poetic. Green Bay is on my bucket list, but so is Minnesota…who plays indoors. So while I hope to see of Sep/Oct grame in Green Bay, not holding my breath…and plan to head to Minn. That said, a dude that sits next to me flies in from NY from Bucs games…lives in Syracuse…hates the Bills, hates the stadium, says stay away.

  23. orlbucfan Says:

If that’s a cupcake schedule, I’ll SMDH! No matter, go get ’em, Bucs!!

  24. Rod Munch Says:

I read that Atlanta is building their new stadium so they can bounce sound around inside the building so it’s easier to pump in crowd noise without being caught. It might not matter for the first 2 games of their season which will probably sell out, but by week 6 they’ll be drawing 40,000 people and yet it will sound like the loudest place in America when we’re on offense.

  25. LakeLandBuc Says:

I love the way my boy Legarrette Blount went after Suh. Man i miss that dude.

  26. R.O. Says:

Love it schedules aren’t surprises. You know 14 of the 16 game schedule for every year.

  27. R.O. Says:

Also 8 games against current playoff teams..

  28. Buc1987 Says:

Spot on and fans better recognize.

I know I have. I was at the game today picking out my seats for next season.

Next season the Bucs are going to be hell to deal with.

  29. Buc1987 Says:

Uh duhhh that was for SPBF.

  30. Jolly Bucs Fan Says:

That has to be one of the toughest schedules in the NFL and thats 2 years in a row. NFL really does hate us

  31. Trubucfan22 Says:

I for one cannot wait to go to Lambeau Field next December to watch our Bucs kick some Packer butt! I was there last time the Bucs came here and it was cold and it was awesome! Lambeau is a great football environment regardless of how cold it is.

  32. Trubucfan22 Says:

The schedule isnt actually that bad. Not sure what you guys are seeing.

At home the toughest teams will be the pats and giants. Im not sold on the lions being a really tough team to beat.

Away, the toughest game is the Packers. The other games are pretty even. Even the packers have been on the decline in recent years.

I think this season’s schedule was much harder. Im looking forward to next season. We should be a playoff team.

  33. NFLNut Says:

    ************

9 or less wins = disappointment

    10 wins = improvement

11 wins = expected (at least by me)

12 wins or more = great achievement

    ************

  34. LifeOfABucFan Says:

Hope NE gets to play in the hellish heat we provide down here…Those Pats and their pasty white, obnoxious fans don’t like the heat..

    Go Bucs!!!

  35. jj Says:

the bucs should really beat teams like Detroit and minnasota the bills are a wild card team but should be a w pats will be to old in my opinon for out young defense w packers will result in a L sadly are oline cant handle the cold and green bay Falcon will win both the bucs if they draft a receiver will have targets saints is a split the saints will win one enough said panthers we win both the Arizona beats us due to their d giants will give us a w we will we will beat the bears and Miami that’s my predictions
