I really don’t get why Doug Martin has dominated local talk radio all week he’s another bust. Running Backs are a dime a dozen in the NFL. We have no depth

Justin, along with many Bucs fans, celebrate their intolerance because they wanna seem tough. First, given his rotten performance, it’s reasonable to assume that these substance issues go beyond performance enhancement. His performance has suffered. If it is that serious, then Martin’s problems have gotten out of control. If he needs to go to rehab, it’s not a simple decision to be selfish. Addiction is a serious mental health issue that impacts his life and profession. Let’s have some compassion for the guy. I’m not saying we gift him the starting RB position next year. We have to draft at least one RB as if #22 won’t be around… but if the guy succeeds in going through treatment, is willing to take a sizable paycut, and demonstrates he’s 100% committed like his rookie and 4th years, I don’t see why you don’t bring him back. If he’s recovered from his issues, he’s probably going to be a lot better physically and show up more like the 2015 version.
I don’t understand the bashing. Just a bunch of grumpy dudes who wanna criticize others for what they perceive (incorrectly) as weakness.
The reason Martin gets this consideration is that he hasn’t been a locker room turd and cancer. If he were a jacka55 loudmouth, I’d say put him on the street.
