Kwon Is The Model
December 24th, 2016Inside One Buc Palace, they say Kwon Alexander is the “Jameis Of The Defense.”
Joe thinks that praise is far too weak.
No, Kwon Alexander wasn’t perfect tonight, but Joe is so appreciative of how hard Alexander plays and how much big-play ability is pulsing through that guy.
There’s a fire in Kwon that burns hotter and nastier than any other Buccaneer.
The man showed up huge in prime time against the Cowboys and set a Buccaneers record for combined tackles with 21. And today in New Orleans he was using that big mother f$%^’n stick Dirk Koetter says he wants every player to carry.
That fumble Kwon forced, you know, the BS call by the zebras that changed the game in the fourth quarter? What a hit. And Kwon was playing for keeps before and after that.
Derrick Brooks talks about hitting and the non-box-score impact it has on opponents and how those repetitive hits pay dividends late in games. Kwon is the epitome of that mindset and approach.
The Bucs need more guys with their head and heart in the game like Kwon has, including the quarterback. That’s no real knock on America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, he’s just not at Kwon’s level yet.
Alexander was so upset about the loss, he refused all postgame interview queries.
