NFL Network Reports Limited Martin Role
November 13th, 2016NFL Network is tapping its inside sources at One Buc Palace this morning.
They’re reporting Doug Martin will return to play from his Week 2 hamstring injury but will have a limited role against the Bears.
Translation: Martin won’t get a lot of snaps.
Further translation: Martin will get the rock early and training staff will assess how he feels while coaches assess how he plays.
As Joe said on radio and podcasts last week, look for Martin to be on a pitch count of 10 to 15 carries. This isn’t a Jacquizz Rodgers situation, where Martin’s going to come off the street and pound the rock 26 times.

I have to scratch my head on the training staff being befuddled with a hamstring injury…

I’m so sick of this guy. I’d take any second round pick I could get for him. Shouldn’t have signed him to a deal. I said it then, and yet again, I’m proven right.

I have to scratch my head in general at the overall mistreatment and mishandling of nagging injuries to our players… who is accountable for all of these injuries? Is this a situation that can get better with a new training staff?

Would like to get him back full time but I doubt he’s in 100% game shape. And it’s easy to mess the hamstring again. We’ll see how much he can give today.

@Fire the glazers” … “who is accountable for all of these injuries?” Seriously? Have you looked at the Bucs track record over the years with injuries? (Hint: Not so good).

I agree with the predictable play calling sequence…I just think it will be primarily with Mike James…

Yes, mike james will be much better, but stubborn koetter is going to use unproductive fat dougie
We should be uptempo fast quick pass routes all day but we have koetter the clown
But we have a run smash mouth offense. Loll
3rd and long for jameis to complete with no openings
