Mutual Admiration
November 24th, 2016Whenever he gets the chance, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, publicly thanks Russell Wilson for the advice the Seahawks quarterback gave him.
It came when the two met at the Pro Bowl in Hawaii in January. They developed a bond and Wilson advised Jameis about being in peak physical condition to be the best you can be on the field.
It seems, Wilson equally admires Jameis, but for different reasons.
While speaking with the Tampa Bay pen and mic club, Wilson said he had been an admirer of Jameis dating back to Jameis’ college days.
“I’ve always been very fond of Jameis in terms of the competitor that he is and the quarterback that he is first of all,” Wilson said yesterday. “I think that he’s a tremendous player and I have tons of respect for him there.
“I had the opportunity to be around him – we were on the same [Pro Bowl] team and we were right next to each other all the time and just continued to discuss with him and talk to him about the game of football and what it takes to excel on a consistent basis.
“[Jameis] asked tons of questions in a good way. He’s a guy that wants to know and wants to learn. Like I said, he’s a tremendous competitor, so that’s what I love about Jameis and he has a great time playing the game of football too.”
Joe has heard many stories about how Jameis has picked the brain of not just stud quarterbacks like Wilson, but former teammates of Tom Brady and other stud quarterbacks to learn what makes them tick.
There is very little Jameis won’t do to help himself be the best quarterback he can be. No wonder Bucs types all talk about how Jameis’ work ethic rubs off in the locker room.

So fans let’s support him on Sunday! Be loud, chant, stand up and be in your seats early. He gives his all…we should do the same! Win or lose!

Need to take care of your Body… I think that’s what Brady would say.

Bucs Defense need to be..Bike ready. Wilson is great at pulling the pass arm down, scrambling or finding a lane to scamper. He’s kept his team alive on drives endlessly throughout the years. I am concerned about his running abilities against us. Defense has gotta be quick on Sunday. He’s better at running than a lot of running backs.

It is awesome that Jameis is a sponge. Some people would let their ego get in the way of learning and criticism on a personal level. Some people will do things there own way and thats it. It is admirable that Jameis goes to great lengths to be a better teammate, leader, and quarterback. It would be awesome if Jameis had a teammate next to him in the QB room that could mentor him. Wet noodle arm needs to get out of tampa and be replaced by someone with a positive influence for Jameis.

Jameis is going to be fine, finally the bucs have a franchise QB. With that being said we need to get the defense better because everyone knows without a good defense it’s difficult to contend. There’s very good QBs out there, former MVP’s that their team isn’t going anywhere this year, ( Rodgers, Lucks, Brees, Rivers, Newton) to name a few. Wilson is a very good QB, it is with the dominance of the Seahawks D that they have been at the top the last 4 years.
Go Bucs !

Honestly this is a bad sign for this week. I have been consistent this year in picking games and have picked the best QB. This week, I am going with Seahawks, they have the better QB.

A few years ago, Drew Brees had folks like Josh Freeman out to his spread in California, and it paid big dividends for Josh. A la 2010 pre camp. Of course, clearly helped in 2010. From there, we see Josh went his own way. It’s great here that Jameis is soaking it in. Russell doesn’t know all, but he has some key pieces to learn from.

I believe that you are wrong Bucnut as far as I think we win. I agree that RW is the better QB right Now but I think Jameis’ ceiling is higher and it will be reached in his career. I am truly glad to see that you aren’t one of those sheep that say that RW is only good because of his Defense. SO many dolts say that. A QB doesn’t throw 117 TDs to 36 Ints at a 65% comp. ratio. in his first 5 years in the NFL cause he has a great Defense. Yes they go hand in hand but look at HIS numbers. They indicate small mistakes not big ones. He learned Fast to take what is given to him. My prayer is that Jameis gets this sooner rather than later. The last two games have given me hope that he is.

You can talk about quarterbacks talent level all you want, but you can’t tell me there is a quarterback that has more pride and desire than Jameis. He put this team on his back last week against KC and willed us to a win. JW has me so pumped up and I’m not even in the locker room with the dude. It’s hard to predict a win against Seattle at home on Sunday, but I’m predicting a win against Seattle anyway. This team is ready to take the next step. We’ve proven we can beat a legit team. Now it’s time to prove that we can beat a legit team at home.

Wilson is as a good a leader as winston. It is why both QBs will be the premier Qbs in a few years.

I think it’s all about supporting cast and we have a ways to go, but I like the attitude better now
