Massive Disrespect In Kansas City
November 20th, 2016Yes, Joe was live in Kansas City for the Buccaneers’ big win this afternoon.
Sitting in traffic entering Arrowhead Stadium, Joe heard quite a stunning conversation on the official Chiefs pregame show.
There was an entire discussion of how with stud defensive end Justin Houston returning against the Bucs and teaming with pass rusher Dee Ford,, that would let the Chiefs inflict even more terror on offenses. However, the consensus was that the Chiefs would be careful not to unveil too much against the Bucs because they could beat them without putting their A-game pass rush on film.
You see, next week the Chiefs have a huge division game against the Broncos on Sunday Night Football, and the Chiefs experts were sure that game was the real big game of the year — following a routing beating of the Bucs.
Joe couldn’t believe the arrogance in the rather modest and conservative midwest town.
Ha, ha. The Chiefs couldn’t get to America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, and he rolled them for 331 yards and a touchdown on 24-0f-39 passes.
How sweet it is. Joe can only imagine the crying on the Chiefs postgame show.

When you are 7-3 facing a perennial last place team the confidence is warranted. Bucs and Jameis have to go out every week and take the respect
November 20th, 2016 at 7:38 pm
I think Jameis played one of his best games today….he was unshakable.
We cleaned up our penalties and only had one turnover. Aguayo didn’t miss and we kept the game close for the Conte interception.
I think the Chiefs were stunned…..but they should know that we play well on the road.

I live here in KC and I hear stuff like this all the time. It’s not disrespect towards just the bucs….it’s disrespect towards anyone not a chief. A loss at Denver next week and they will turn on the chiefs. This will be a good week for me.
November 20th, 2016 at 7:40 pm
Thats awesome, I couldn’t stand the TV announcers either at the beginning of the game, saying how bucs had a great game last week but that was due to the generosity of Jay Cutler but these chiefs are a different animal.
I remember last year after we beat the eagles i was listening to a local Philly sport radio on Iheart, they were calling for Chip kelleys head.
November 20th, 2016 at 7:47 pm
If I were KC…I would’ve had the same mindset. Look at how long this team has been so bad. Maybe this this the the mark for our TRUE turnaround?

The Eagles L puts us in 8th place in the NFC. #PlayoffPush

Trap game. I felt today like I did when they went into PIT two years ago and surprised them. The Seahawks are awfully good as of late but wouldn’t it nice to take the wood to them next week….

Joe says “Massive Disrespect In Kansas City” !!
I think it is more than just Kansas City!!!!!!!!!
November 20th, 2016 at 7:53 pm
Luckily, ARI lost and so did LA. So add that to PHI loss and looks pretty good. Tonight hopefully GB will beat WAS and that should even things out there too.
November 20th, 2016 at 7:57 pm
Fred that’s what I’m thinking too. We must pull a win though next week. If we can, dude that’d be epic.
November 20th, 2016 at 7:57 pm
So quick to overlook the massive disrespect in Tampa as well.
November 20th, 2016 at 8:00 pm
Also ATL has: Oak, KC, Car, and NO. With a helluva lot of luck, we can still win the division.
November 20th, 2016 at 8:03 pm
You can feel this team growing up in front of our very eyes. It starts of course with #3 and just as his game has matured, others are stepping up…Mike Evans has clearly rededicated himself this year…Cameron Brate is emerging as a real a player and a legitimate 2nd option for #3…and then Hump and Shep and Shorts all filling in with their contributions….this team is rounding into shape.
Now if our backfield stays healthy the final six games we’ll have Doug on fresh legs, Quizz, and then they’ll be joined by Sims. With #3 coming into his own and showing a propensity for spreading the ball around fairly…this offense is showing some real promise.

Listening to some of the run down of games by various networks, you could tell in their voices at times they were in disbelief that the Bucs beat the Chiefs.
November 20th, 2016 at 8:18 pm
The truth is that not too many people (even Miko Grimes) expected that the Bucs could beat the Chiefs.
November 20th, 2016 at 8:25 pm
Chiefs fans and faithful were no more disrespectful than the fans in Tampa have been towards their own team! I think about what Miko said, Joe’s post on Mike’s comments on the Ray Jay experience.
If I was able, I’d be at every Bucs home game, right next to Miko, standing & cheering for the home squad daring a so called Bucs fan to tell me to sit down. I still can’t believe that Joe. Embarrassing

The 2 win bears thought they should be able to roll the bucs. Of course a good team like the chiefs thought they could beat a team that has struggled most of the season. Most buc fans didnt think we would win the game.
Was it disrespectful? Nah. Up to this point the bucs havent earned any respect. Beating the chiefs was a step in the right direction to gaining some though.
November 20th, 2016 at 9:01 pm
Chiefs defense is not the Ravens w/Ray or the Bucs w/Sapp. Their offense hadn’t scored a touchdown in 9 quarters, so they would have to be healthy to be a threat to a really good team, the Bucs are becoming a really good team and with#3 we stand a chance in every game
November 20th, 2016 at 9:05 pm
Big difference between disrespect shown by the media in KC (pregame show) and disrespect by the Chiefs’ coaches and players. Fairly confident that Mike Holmgren would never let any of his coaches or players disrespect ANY team, much less one coached by one of his best friends.
November 20th, 2016 at 9:52 pm
Bucs fans wasn’t disrespectful towards them, year after year the Bucs disrespected their fans with pathetic play. Tonight the same fans are praising the Bucs, that what it takes to win the fans over ( Wins against good teams).
November 20th, 2016 at 10:26 pm
I like to read whiney opponents fan comments after a Bucs upset win. I searched for them but could not find them on multiple Chief sites.
November 20th, 2016 at 10:35 pm
This team is finally gelling, and getting healthy. I guarantee nobody wants to play them at this point.I know the schedule is daunting, but I believe it will bring the best out of them. it would be so much easier if the negative local media would get behind this team, the staff, and the entire organization.I live in Louisiana but i listen to 620 all day when i can tolerate all the negativity. just sayin it’d be nice to hear them acccentuate the positve..GO BUCS

LakeLandBuc..once again you’re wrong.
November 21st, 2016 at 12:01 am
NFL Gamepass , where I watch game cause I’m leaving overseas has a pre game preview report done by there panel. Basically talked only chiefs and basically gave bucs no chance especially with all the stars Chiefs have.
November 21st, 2016 at 12:33 am
Look, NFl teams do not Respect the Bucs. Its like Tampa Tony says, The Bucs gotta go out and take it..earn it. We been losers for so long, teams expect us to roll over come 4th qtr. I doubt seriously whether KC even dreamed they would lose. Now If the Bucs really want to do something special?? Give Seattle a shock!!
November 21st, 2016 at 1:58 am
This 2016 Bucs team is the best kept secret! They haven’t Even played with healthy players, so keep an eye on this team….I’m so loving this! This new coach is the real deal.
November 21st, 2016 at 2:10 am
This is why the Bucs have to get up every wek and punch the opposition in the mouth! Ro

I live in NY and when I watch the local teams I never see a lot of opposing fans in the stands! I am a season ticket holder of he Bucs and it is disgusting how many opposing fans I see in the stands!!! COME ON TAMPA FANS! GEt behind the Bucs good or bad!!! This win proves that we are headed in the right direction. Who cares if no other team respects us! Respect is earned and today we earned some!!! A win against Seattle AT HOME would be huge!!!! Let’s show up in force on Sunday!! Show the league that we have a 12th man too!!!!
