Jameis: “I’m Not A Loser”
November 10th, 2016Quite a speech made by America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, at One Buc Palace yesterday.
It made Joe want to stand up and salute the flag.
Tampa Bay’s only Pro Football Hall of Fame Voter, JoeBucsFan.com columnist eye-RAH! Kaufman, asked Jameis about the toll of losing and how he’s handling it and keeping his confidence up.
Easy question for young Jameis.
“You know, losin’, I believe, losin’ is too easy. And I hate easy stuff. You know, I hate easy,” Jameis said.
“Like going out there and losing is so easy. I want stuff to be hard; that’s why I want to win championships. I want to win more and more games. But confidence-wise it’s easy, because I’m not a loser. We’re winners in this building and I believe it’s a choice. It’s just a mentality that we’ve got to have and that we’re building. We’re heading on the right path, we’ve just got to get over that hump and I’m going to do what I need to do to help us get over that.”
This is a great illustration of Jameis’ winning mentality. Except the problem is he’s not an NFL winner, and his mentality isn’t rubbing off on enough Bucs.
Man, the Bucs desperately need this game against the Bears on Sunday.

don’t worry jameis….we all know who the losers are….GO BUCS!!!
November 10th, 2016 at 10:36 am
There are no losers……..Jameis said so, we just need more talent!
November 10th, 2016 at 10:39 am
Winston’s turning into Walter Mitty.
You can say you’re not a loser when you stop losing.
November 10th, 2016 at 10:47 am
Get the man more weapons, an upgrade the line so we can see what he can really do.

Hate to break it to you Brother Jameis..But you are what your record says you are there sir! You can talk, prance and dance till you drop. But if you don’t win? Then..You’s a loser. Its just that simple.

If Jameis is 9-15 as a starter?? I can just imagine what GMC record is since he’s been here?? Yes I’m aware they don’t play the same position GMC apologists

Since this is your theory, I have a question for you. Do you think Joe Thomas is a loser too? He’s been the team leader to a franchise worse than ours, been elected to Pro Bowls, yet has been a part of some absolutely dreadful offenses. Would you want him on our team protecting Jameis? (If you say no, then you should never be allowed to post again) If so, then why don’t you blame him for all the losing Cleveland has done? What’s the difference?

Free agency aside, (cause they always end up sucking anyways) but bring in a safety or 3. Don’t care if it’s some hard hittin’ mofo’s too, we get penalized anyways.
Then.
Draft OL…give this kid more time to set up.
Then WR….give this kid more weapons.
Then DL….cause hey what the hell, might get lucky.
Then and then….Safety. Cause well…..better late then never.
1, 2, 3, and 4.
Go Bucs beat the Bears at Ray Jay!

And I NEVER put together these wish lists. I’m not that type of fan.

@gmc apologist number 1 also known as Hawaiian Buc
You’re realize you’re comparing someone that only job is to protect a WBA blindside to someone who that is supposed to be the anchor of the defense “that makes his teammates better” your coaches words. Do you watch the defense that he’s anchoring and making the players around him better??
November 10th, 2016 at 11:27 am
Newsflash Jameis. The day you signed your contract with the Yucs, you instantly became a loser. Dial up Steve Young and ask him about his experience with the Yucs. Go Sucs
November 10th, 2016 at 11:30 am
9-15 days different. But no matter how much impact a qb has on a game this is still a team game. Defense needs to play better and Jameis needs some help but he still needs to improve quite a bit as well
November 10th, 2016 at 11:58 am
Once again the ignorance of JBF posters is shown and Jameis made it pretty clear to understand. He’s not saying he doesn’t have a losing record, he’s saying he doesn’t believe he has the mind set or heart of a loser. I agree along with many others. Some of his team mates might be losers but thats because they don’t have enough want to win and with that you cannot become a winning team.
November 10th, 2016 at 12:23 pm
Mindset, heart of a loser ? The last time i check, the definition of loser is: : someone or something that loses a game, contest, etc.
a person or thing that loses or has lost something, especially a game or contest.

If you want to be a winner: Quit overthrowing wide open receivers by 20 yards. Quit turning the ball over. Quit forcing the ball to ME, while other receivers are open. Quit throwing high to open receivers. Watch some Dak Prescott tapes.

You do realize that left tackle is probably the second most important position in football right? Don’t believe me-look at their paychecks. And I don’t know how much football you’ve watched in your life, but no DT can take over a game without help. Who does he have around him? You know what, never mind. You know better than me. You know better than everyone else. Carry on.
November 10th, 2016 at 5:45 pm
SOE, don’t pay these fools no mind on here. Land o Lakes pooh butt margarine always got something to say about Jameis. Notice, it’s all on the QB when you read these trolls comments. WE know what Jameis is. We know what he’s put on film so far. So to me, they waste they’re comments. Dead weight. Don’t worry about them bro. Positive fans come together. Let’s SUPPORT our players. Bong

At this point, its too early to determine if Jameis is a loser or a winner. However, I can’t say that he’s shown the kind of seemingly natural ability of say, an Andrew Luck. The next 8 games should give us some indication of where Jameis is going. I know this, he hates to lose, and he’s willing to put the work in to get better. So for now, let’s just hope we’re looking at a work in progress. GO BUCS !!!
November 10th, 2016 at 7:53 pm
Once again please leave your negativity back home in the trailer park… have you ever seen jameis play at FSU or looked up his ridiculous winning record???? The proof is in the pudding “losers” Jameis is a winner suck it up buttercups we finally have a franchise qb… Aguayo will come around too and all the “fans” like the loser Lakeland buc will be praising him… winners are not just made they are developed over time and that is something this team does not have together… Have faith or have fun cheering for another team I’m in it for the long haul!!!!! GO BUCS!!!!! Also defense wins championships and this defense will not be winning any of those keep Mgdougald as a starter and draft a safety drop verner and conte and make Hargreaves the number 3 until he his comfortable with the defense and the assignment he misses often or teach his tiny butt to tackle… LBs are fine DL needs to heal and GMC is a beast… that is all
November 10th, 2016 at 7:58 pm
Lol, We don’t lose in LAKELAND. The LOSERS are in TAMPA.
November 10th, 2016 at 7:58 pm
Go Yucs, Go Sucs
November 10th, 2016 at 8:36 pm
You are what your record says you are. Want to be a winner? Start winning and keep winning until you have a winning record. Only then can you say “I’m a winner”.
November 10th, 2016 at 9:36 pm
Draft this kid a legit left tackle smith is not one and get him a wr besides Evans
November 10th, 2016 at 9:55 pm
Jameis has a winner’s attitude, even when faced with losing. It’s easy to say you’re a winner when you win. The true test of character is how you handle yourself when you lose. The man’s attitude will eventually become infectious.
November 10th, 2016 at 10:15 pm
Are you kidding? The Bucs aren’t winning because they have a bad defense…not because of Jameis!
November 10th, 2016 at 10:48 pm
Comparing the the Bucs and Boys is silly, Dallas has one of the best Olines in the NFL. I assure you that if we had that Oline here Jameis would be a lot better.
Also the offense isn’t really the problem. We put up points right at 22.5 which is better than 14 other teams and is an improvement over last year.
Our defense though is giving up is giving up 29 points per game which makes us only better than three other teams and is a regression from last year.
I think the team needs to rebrand themselves, get new uniforms that aren’t hideous, tweak the logo, hell maybe even change the team name and mascot.

If you’re criticizing his answer, please tell me the way he should’ve approached it?
Throwing others under the bus is Easy too, but you’ll never get that from James. He must hate these negative questions…
The question easily could’ve been “As the leader, you need to keep every single player optimistic week after week. What’s your approach throughout the week with managing so many personalities and emotions? Can you provide actual examples along with the specific teammate?”
