It’s a yellow light for Doug Martin.
The Bucs’ stud running back, who hurt his hamstring in Week 2 against Arizona, has been unable to go since. Needing both a win at home, and a win in general Sunday against the Bears, it seems like Bucs coach Dirk Koetter is prepared to shove all his chips in the middle of the table.
Martin will be a game-time decision, long time Bucs beat man Woody Cummings confirms.
@RCummingsFRS: #Bucs HC Dirk Koetter confirms RB Doug Martin will be a game-time decision Sunday. “He’ll go right up to the end,” Koetter said.
Koetter added at his news conference today that Martin “officially he’s still not cleared” for full contact.
And no, Joe won’t know Martin’s status until 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning when the actives/inactives are released — unless Joe hears from a little birdie.
So there you have it. Will Martin play against the Bears or not? Check in at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

I’m do my best tmax impression: he’ll just come back and be on ir within weeks. Bucs should have let him walk. He’s injury prone. Him and the ice cream man McCoy should be gone. McCoy is a quitter and brings this team down…. How did I do?

I don’t think he’ll play this weekend. If he’s still not cleared for full contact yet, what would even be the point?

I have been right all along. right about lovie, vjax, martin, mccoy, asj, mcodonald, murphy all the ones I said would not contribute and could not be counted on are the same sorry players all the poster preface every post with “When Healthy”… The entire roster is good when healthy for chirst sake the stars and highest paid players are not productive and are part time players at best… glad i am in your head sir… i really don’t matter just a brutally honest prick who is always right. i am starting to sound like bonzi with all my I am right crap…

I agree with JonBuc: Martin is not going to play if he is active he will be the third string benchwarmer. Simply a case of attempted misdirection!
