Honest Dirk Koetter has had his pessimistic moments this season.
Who could blame the guy?
No, Joe doesn’t think Koetter spreads negativity through his team, but there has been at least one quiet moment of doom in his head.
Koetter explained on the Buccaneers Radio Network this week. It came when the Bucs were a turnover machine and saddled with a 1-3 record.
“After Week 4 of the season we were minus-9 as a team [in turnover ratio,] and today we’re plus-1 for the season,” Koetter said. “And when we were minus-9 after four games, I was thinking we would never see positive territory the rest of the year. And here we are after nine games and we’re back in positive territory.”
Yes, the Bucs have flipped the data when it comes to their turnovers and those of their opponents. Many are deserving of credt.
Koetter added sacks are such a critical component because quarterbacks so often have trouble holding on to the football.

If we can keep winning the TO battle and get the OL to play better we may be able to pull off an upset or 2 and finish with 7/8 wins which would be a good year for us.

First I like Coach Koetter.
But he didn’t want to be a head coach. He wanted to be OC.
He still doesn’t want to be head coach.
I give him 1 more year and he’s gone !

To mirror what R.O. said, if we keep playing better defense and keep Jameis upright there’s no reason not to believe we can turn this thing around.

get some turnover vs a team over .500…..get wins vs the chiefs, seahawks and cowboys…..beating up on teams picking in the top 5 of the draft wont do you any good….GO BUCS!!!
