Mike Smith Talks Jameis Leading Defense
November 23rd, 2016The impact of America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, is being felt on the defensive side of the ball.
It’s just that simple, and it’s pretty impressive for a 22-year-old QB.
Joe asked defensive coordinator Mike Smith about this today at One Buc Palace.
JoeBucsFan.com: Coach, as defensive coordinator can you feel Jameis Winston’s leadership on your side of the ball and how that’s grown?
Mike Smith: Oh, absolutely. This is a quarterback-driven league. And Jameis is, you know, he is the leader of the team, one of the leaders of the team. We’ve got, you know, other guys in the locker room as well, but we all feel it. You feel his passion for the game. I think it’s contagious, and it’s contagious in a very good way because nobody works harder than Jameis on this football team. It’s amazing his work ethic.
That pretty much says it all right there.

Love the leadership but at the same time it shows how worthless our current defensive captains are if they’ve been here so long and can’t make their teammates better

Winston is energetic, he could fire up a fire ant.

The way Jameis and Aguayo played at Arrowhead I think we should adopt the Seminole war chant for Ray Jay and table the TAMpa – BAyyyyy!
