5 Reasons The Bucs Could Win Tonight
November 3rd, 2016For the legions of optimists among the Tampa Bay faithful, Joe’s got you covered.
Here’s five reasons the Bucs could beat the Falcons tonight:
*Regular readers here know Joe doesn’t believe in coincidences. Therefore, there’s definitely something to the Bucs having beaten the Falcons in their last three meetings. The Bucs have real confidence that they can take care of business, from the playcaller and the defensive coordinator on down to the players. Maybe that mindset is enough to overcome the culture of home losing. Mental note: America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, often plays better against teams once he’s seen them a second time.
*Injuries. Yes, the Bucs have been decimated, but now the Falcons will feel a big pinch with the loss of running back Tevin Coleman (five touchdowns) legendary defensive end Dwight Freeney (3 sacks) and starting tight end Jacob Tamme. Throw in the taxing, quick-turnaround road trip after a 4:25 p.m. start on Sunday, and Atlanta has challenges to overcome.
*Julio Jones has had four invisible/quiet games out of eight this season. And one of those was against the Bucs on opening day, and one was last Sunday against Green Bay (three catches for 29 yards). He and No. 2 receiver Mohammed Sanu are not superheroes, and Joe believes the Bucs’ athletic corners, Brent Grimes and Vernon Hargreaves, will bounce back strong tonight.
*Lavonte David & Gerald McCoy. At some point one of these eight-figure-a-year superstars will put the team on his back and lead it to victory. Why not tonight? David feels due for a trifecta: sack, pick and forced fumble.
*Falcons DE Adrian Clayborn. Yes, he’s having a solid season, but he’s proven to be a serial loafer and he should have more reps tonight with Freeney out. Playing on tired legs, Clayborn, Joe believes, will be prone to a quality loaf like this unforgettable one against the Bucs.
HEY PESSIMISTS! Here’s 5 reasons the Bucs fall tonight.

Smith needs to unleash LVD and the KWONster. Let them blitz and use their heads. These are 2 SB quality LBs who are getting used to playing together, and like/respect each other. DK needs to concentrate on his offense which is slowly developing. There are 3 healthy receivers playing: ME13, the Hump, and Brate. Put Shepherd in and keep him off the ST. Same thing with Hump: no PR duty. If Famous calms down and plays like he’s on a mission, we’ll win. Besides, it’s about time we won a home game. Go Tampa Bay!!

Hilary and Trump are more likely to become honest human beings before LVD and GMC earn their money much less take over a game in the 4th qtr

if JW hits his guys downfield, we win. if it’s overthrows or turnovers, we lose. For all the heat Koetter is taking in some quarters, he is calling winning plays but the execution has not been there. In the Rams game, koetter is remembered for not calling a timeout, but he schemed VJax open in the endzone on the next play he called. There were multiple completions that would have slammed the door on the Raiders but instead we saw overthrows. JW Turnovers ended the Cardinals game before it began
It’s what we always thought it would be – we go as Jameis goes. Other guys can step up and support Good Jameis for the W, but it takes alot of standout play elsewhere to outweigh Bad Jameis and dodge an L

We have been waiting since his draft for McCoy to have that signature game. I lay a bet that that says it’s not tonight.

I would like to see Buc defenders knocking birds receivers off their mark at the line of scrimmage. Pressure ryan into some mistakes and knock him on his ass a few times.
