Soaring Past The Emotional Pain
October 1st, 2016Nobody’s moaning about the inexperienced fifth-round pick starting at left guard for your Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In a perfect world, the Bucs wanted Pamphile on the bench and serving as a versatile backup and their jumbo package tight end. That’s why the Bucs paid a king’s ransom for J.R. Sweezy in March, the Seahawks free agent who has yet to practice and is “physically unable to perform.”
So how is the guy replacing Logan Mankins doing? Dirk Koetter weighed in on Pamphile’s transition on Thursday.
“He’s doing really good, he’s doing a really good job. Kevin’s getting better every week,” Koetter said of Pamphile.
“We’ve said for the longest time that we would be fine if Kevin was starting in our offensive line and that has proven to be true. The whole [guard] J.R. Sweezy [injury] is unfortunate, we wish we had him out there. But as I’ve said many times, Kevin was [emotionally] hurt right off the bat that we didn’t just bump him into that spot when [former guard] Logan [Mankins] retired, but Kevin has done what every player should do. They should come to work every day and get better, and he’s done that.”
Pamphile has been good, but not great. And that’s just fine. He’s made for starts at left guard and, as Koetter said, he’s improving.
It’s so valuable for Pamphile to log this stretch against the nasty defensive fronts of Los Angeles, Denver and Carolina in consecutive weeks. If he can come out of that holding his own, then the Bucs should be awfully eager and pleased to let Pamphile develop in his left guard spot through the rest of the season — Sweezy return or not.

One has to wonder if Sweezy will ever come back. When the really big guys get hurt, it is hard for them to come back. Dotson got beat very easily a few times in our last game, but Pamphile does seem to be holding his own.

Better than Mankins and ESmith if you ask me.

Pamphile will end up beating out easy (money) Sweezy even when he recovers. My man Sweezy’s gonna attempt a comeback next season. All the while, cashing that bankcheck. He’ll be on the Roster though. Seahawks willingly let him go for a reason. How come we did not catch the warning signals on ole Sweeze. makes you wonder. Man you gotta love the get over man..Easy Sweezy watchin the Sunday games like the rest of us. Only, getting paid.

Bucs are loaded with O-Line talent. Benenoch is going to be good. Josh Allen and Ben Gottschalk on the PS could start today. If Sweezy pans out, we will have mad depth!
October 1st, 2016 at 3:48 pm
He has played his ass off actually.
It’s all about the opportunity. That what killed me about asj.
I have known so So many guys in sports that if only given the chance would have been stars. My dad being one in baseball.
Mad respect Kev

“Seahawks willingly let him go for a reason.”
Yeah, he chose Tampa. The Seahawks were trying to keep him, and some reports I read said the offers from both teams were close. So enough with the nonsense.

One more thing we add a wideout 2 d lineman two safties one corner a new kicker and we have a playoff team

Well guys, it’s official. BOTH of the Aguayos SUCK. Don’t count on Roberto to make ANY kicks tommorow, Ricky has missed 3 in the FIRST QUARTER.
October 1st, 2016 at 4:31 pm
So should we draft D. Cook or the safety James? I’d take them both if possible.
October 1st, 2016 at 4:44 pm
I think Jabrill Peppers is the safty we need. But it’s gotta be a Safety AND a wr.
October 1st, 2016 at 4:46 pm
I feel now that we are MUCH further away than we initially thought. But time will tell, a win in the next 2 weeks will tell us a lot about this team
October 1st, 2016 at 4:48 pm
What happened to our 4th round pick ankle biter 180lb safety ryan smith?
October 1st, 2016 at 4:50 pm
We need more strong personalities in this locker room to weed out all the B!tchs. Too many people are ok with losing, we have to get rid of the Loser mentalities. I feel more so on defence than offence. Ohh yeah, and we need a new UNDRAFTED kicker
October 1st, 2016 at 4:52 pm
@ kobe
I never was a fan, but he could prove me wrong. Anything is better than the safty play we have now. Conte has SAVED a few TDs, but he has also been the cause of a few.
October 1st, 2016 at 4:54 pm
Derrick Barnett from Tennessee will prolly be there @ the end of the 1st round. I would love to bring him in as well.
October 1st, 2016 at 5:56 pm
Anyone reading this blog please ignore Bighog and Kobe as they have proven to be clueless pretty on every topic ever brought up. My goodness you two make us all seem so freaking clueless.

Sneezy reminds me of pre-MERSA Carl Nicks who came to town from the Saints with a bad foot that the doctors here missed.

Cook just put dude In the spin cycle. Lol
October 1st, 2016 at 6:39 pm
I’m a nole, but FSU is laughable. It seems every team I root for absolutely SUCKS. Maybe I’ll have to be a bronco fan tommorow so the bucs have a chance. SMH
October 1st, 2016 at 6:42 pm
Hey all you Lovie lovers you enjoy watching him get doubled up again today by Nebraska. Feels like old times doesn’t it. You guys must be loving it.
October 1st, 2016 at 7:13 pm
I think FSU might be missing JW and Roberto. Little bro not gettin’ the job done.
October 1st, 2016 at 7:18 pm
No. They are just waiting until they get an easier schedule.
October 1st, 2016 at 7:21 pm
@Buc20….Ouch!
October 1st, 2016 at 8:38 pm
Some coach in the B1G today had a lead All the way through to the 4th quarter today on 15th ranked Nebraska! Then his Defense gave up 21 points in the 4th and they lost the game. Sound familiar?
October 1st, 2016 at 9:19 pm
Mad props to Mr. Pamphile! Thanks Kevin.
Hicker, Im with you on the Barnett pick if we go Safety or WR 1st pick and can move back up for him. I dont know though, the way he’s playing, he may go mid teens.

MadMax
Don’t forget to add his teammates
DB/LB
Jalen Reeves-Maybin
CB
Cameron Sutton
Maybin would be solid Dime Backer ala Deone Buccannon.
Sutton is one of the best corners in the nation.
With that ankle injury – I’m sure his draft stock will drop some.
He’s a steal.
Outside of that – JUAN Price is a beast
++
Rushers
• Dawuane Smoot
• Charles Harris
5 Tech’s
• Sam Hubbard
• Taco Charlton

Looking at Illinois’ schedule, it is a Good thing they beat Murray St. Prolly the only thing stopping them from getting Blanked on the season.
October 2nd, 2016 at 12:17 am
Maybe they can get the first pick in Recruiting!………..Wait…………..um…………..doesn’t really work that way does it?
October 2nd, 2016 at 1:06 am
Every1 was rageing on me during the cards game cuz I was upset and said sum negative things. I love this team and it legitimately hurts me when I get my hopes up and we look like $hit on the field. So please don’t get it twisted that I am always negative. I unfortunately live in Wisconsin at the moment, I have to deal with all these cheese heads up here on Rodgers nutz. I can’t wait to come back home to Tampa.
October 2nd, 2016 at 3:50 am
Sorry Luv, fell asleep (worked 12 hrs.) Yeah Sutton is a beast. If we could draft him and sign a safety, that wouldnt hurt my feelings. Man, we just have too many holes. And if Dougie doesnt get back to form, I see another rb getting drafted high (which I dont mind….got to have a beast run game to open the pass).
October 2nd, 2016 at 12:02 pm

Ly guys? Already starting the mock drafts in week 4? Lol I guess it’s a bucs life 😧
October 2nd, 2016 at 12:58 pm
Thats right Dem, been there done that….lol, it sucks but when you’ve been through it enough its easy to see we dont have much to look forward to other than the draft when the same crap keeps repeating itself…
Here, I’ll recap….
Sweezy hurt – Carl Nicks
ASJ cut – Winslow
JW3 overthrowing and inconsistent – Freeman
Hardly any pass rush
Off season signings busting or injured
New Coaches – Same old wash rinse repeat
Injuries all around especially our run game
DB’s struggling defending the pass attack
And now we have one of our prized WR’s VJAX who has something going on…wth?
When and where does it end? Buccaneer way I fkn guess! Is what it is…
