Home S(p)it Home

October 30th, 2016
No reason to go to games.

No reason to go to games.

This is so disgusting, Joe strains for words.

After shatting in their pants today and choking away a winnable game, your Buccaneers may be on pace to have one of the worst stretches of home losing in the history of modern American sports.

Since former Bucs commander Greg Schiano was fired in January 2014, your Buccaneers have posted a 3-16 home record.

Hurry folks, fill up the lower bowl for Thursday night so the CBS TV cameras cannot see Dixie Chicks jerseys!

This is simply appalling. The Bucs, with only 17 home wins since Chucky was fired in January 2009, wonder why Bucs fans don’t show up to the Den of Depression.

Who the hell would shell out good coin for an almost guaranteed loss?

Would you shell out good coin (and sit in air conditioning) to hear Eddie Van Halen if he was an invalid?

Would you cough up hard-earned dollars (and sit in air conditioning) to watch Carrie Underwood if she looked like Rosie O’Donnell?

Would you pay three-figures to go to the St. Petersburg RibFest if you knew the pork would be raw, the beer warm as urine and the music performed worse than a teenage garage band?

Would you go to Gasparilla if the only women who flashed for beads were rolled in from a nursing home on their wheelchairs?

Hell, no you wouldn’t!

Then why the hell do fans (who don’t go to games) and some Bucs officials whine about folks not paying top dollar to go to see this s(p)itstorm of  a team?

No, the Bucs’ season is hardly finished. Yes, the Bucs are still undefeated in the NFC South.

It’s high time fans and Bucs folks quit whining about empty seats or too many visiting team’s fans and instead, look in the mirror and put the focus right where it belongs, from ownership right on down to Freddie Martino and his Band of Renown.

Instead of bellyaching about fans not showing up, how about giving fans a reason to come and get gouged for parking and lukewarm beer.

Win a friggin’ home game, will ya? Geez!

    Need plAyers Joe.
    Defensive end -defensive end
    2-safties
    another wideout
    Tight end
    – we will win a few games but until we fill in the holes 6-10-
    7-9 8-8 type seasons

Circa 2008 – Radio and “fan” call in shows. “Just imagine how good this team would be if they got rid of Gruden. That egomaniac keeps thinking he can make chicken salad out of chicken $#!+. 9-7 isn’t good enough. We deserve better!”

And Team Glazer with their survey that fans wanted “change.”

Everyone who wanted that now has received what they deserved.

I’ll keep typing this until this franchise gives me a reason not to.

This is post-Doug Williams all over again. Ownership makes a dumb decision and now we have this…

  4. Mort Says:

Reality: The Bucs took one of the best teams in the AFC to deep OT and lost. Pretty good progress from a team clearly on the rise whereas they would have lost this game by 30 points a year ago.

On JBF: The sky is falling, abandon ship. No longer support your team!

    Get a grip.

“Would you cough up hard-earned dollars (and sit in air conditioning) to watch Carrie Underwood if she looked like Rosie O’Donnell?”

Saying the Buccaneers look uglier than Rosie O’Donnell.
    Low blow, Joe, low blow…

Lets put it this way- Which would you rather:
    A) Watch this game agian
    B) Watch Rosie prance around half-nekkid for four hours
    C) Gouge your own eyes out with a spork.

  6. DB55 Says:

Hey Joe just think Team Glazier paid $1,000,000.00 for a tackle today.

  7. RealityCheck Says:

My family has had tickets since 1980. They have no interest in attending anymore. I now have to convince my friends to come to the games with free tickets and even that is a struggle…

  8. RealityCheck Says:

@Mort – If you really think anything from that game showed “progress”, then you’re completely clueless.

  9. DB55 Says:

Derrick Carr said last year we were learning how to compete, this year were learning how to win. Well guess what the Bucs are competing next year (if they don’t get ripped apart) they win consistently.

I thought it was a good game, we would have won if not for the call on Jude.

Oh well, see ya Thursday at the game. Do the Joe’s have a fan autograph sesiion before the game?

  10. BucTrooper Says:

I am a season ticket holder in section 218. Face value 90 dollars.

After that BS speech Koetter gave last week and seeing that turd he laid for us today i will be selling my Thursday tickets to a Falcons fan… for $1.

That’s right, if you have a GA driver’s license and you want a promo seat, you can have them for $3 as long as you wear your Falcons gear and cheer for Atlanta because F those jackasses.

  11. AtlBucFanDan Says:

    That’s pretty rough there Trooper…

  12. Pruritus Ani Says:

    Buc Trooper

Got a point.. I realize what he was trying to do.. The way it came across now gives him 0 cred. If you are going to challenge people, you gotta back it up.

Unfortunately, I think people are going to be more willing to sell their tickets now than before. That sucks.

  13. Tampa Tony Says:

Glad I’m in NYC and don’t have to sit thru this crap in person anymore

  14. Buc1987 Says:

Trooper…I’ll wear Falcons gear for your tickets…

  15. Tampa Tony Says:

Mort you must a be a Glazer Brother or not know football

Bucs were only in the game thanks to the penalties

  16. richbucsfan Says:

expectations are way too high… this is a 4-12 team at best…too many holes everywhere…no backups, no elite players Perhaps in another 4-6 years….

  17. Brent bull/buc Says:

I thought crowd looked good maybe 60k. You gotta support the home team no matter what. Despite loss that was a good game.

  18. 404Buc Says:

    Amen!

  19. rayjay1122 Says:

    Well put Joe.

  20. I'm tired and 87 is right Says:

I was there and lost my mind. Football…ha ha didn’t see it. No pass rush, and no coverage. We lost and we will lose. Show me REAL football and maybe we talk. I couldn’t stand being by you on the sidelines. Fake asss helllll

  21. sho nuff Says:

cowards blame others for their failures…I got your “…we need the fans to do their part…”…right here Dirk…check this out,,,I dvr your jake and flip through your suck in about 30 mins….if you think I’m going to blow this weather on my day off for THAT…you’re whack…

    take back your sundays!

  22. Jersey Buc Says:

How can so many people watch the same game, and have so many different opinions about what happened? The ONLY reason Tampa was even IN the game, was because Oakland tried and successfully set a record for penalties. Bucs were given over 200 yards worth of field position, didn’t commit one turnover and STILL lost!!! Are you kidding me? Progress? Really? Sorry, but Oakland is the third best team in its own division. One of the AFC’S best? Plain and simple, if Oakland played a decent NFL team today, those penalties would’ve killed them. If Tampa played a team with more discipline today, they would’ve gotten 60 hung on them. Completely unacceptable and I’m sorry, but the best DT plays for LA. McCoy? Way to show up today. You don’t think Aaron Donald doesn’t face triple team blocking? Lol. It’s not even close between the two.

  23. Tampa Tony Says:

After the way this team plays at home I’m surprised anyone shows up. Fans are a direct reflection of their team. Good job Glazers you’ve killed this franchise with your ineptitude

  24. University of Seffner Says:

First of all, the Bucs didn’t get beat like what the Ravens gave to us in 2014 (Photo of the article was that game).
2nd, all of this stuff about Jameis not being a great QB, people he’s only in his early 20s, and is only in his 2nd year. Ya’ll are acting like Bengals fans of the 90s when they drafted David Klingler, and expected immediate success even after Boomer wasn’t on the Bengals roster. David Klingler was great in College, but he had no weapons around him in Cincinnati (Watch NFL Top 10 Draft Busts). Jameis has Mike Evans, Adam Humphries, and probably another weapon coming to the roster next year. The Bucs aren’t awful! We aren’t starving for talent on Offense.
3rd, the team just ran out of gas in the end, if the holding call doesn’t come in late in the game, 24-17 Bucs win. The game wasn’t embarrassing.
Finally, lets just all sleep and think about Thursday night. The Bucs are playing like a .500 team, which was EXPECTED in the offseason! Go Bucs!

  25. Brandon Says:

    Seffner-

Sorry, bro, but Klingler had great weapons in Darnay Scott, Carl Pickens, and Corey Dillon. Those weapons were enough to make Jeff Blake appear to be a good QB for a very short time. Klingler was garbage… kind of like any QB that can’t complete routine short passes time after time after time after time.

  26. Connor Says:

Mike Evans is elite. Maybe David. That’s about it for this team.
