Get One Dimensional

Without Carlos Hyde, the 49ers’ running attack is miserable.

Bad news for 49ers fans but good news for the Bucs:

The rotten Niners run game just got worse.

It seems talented running back Carlos Hyde was seen watching practice this week wearing a sling due to a shoulder injury against the Bills. His status for Sunday is very much uncertain.

Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle documents just how bad the San Francisco running game is.

Hyde’s durability – and the team’s lack of proven depth behind him – was a story line this summer. In his first two seasons, Hyde missed 11 of 32 games, nine with a foot injury in 2015.

The other running backs on the 53-man roster are Mike Davis and Shaun Draughn. Of the 82 running backs with at least 10 carries this season, Draughn (26 carries, 2.1 yards per attempt) and Davis (10, 1.8) rank 78th and 79th, respectively, in yards per attempt.

Davis, a 2015 fourth-round pick, is averaging 1.7 yards on 45 career carries. Of the 55 running backs who had at least 75 carries last year, Draughn’s yards-per-carry average (3.5) ranked 48th.

This is perfect: Force the Sideshow Bob of NFL quarterbacks, National Anthem-kneeling, history-challenged, Supreme Court Justice-sparring, Fidel Castro-loving Colin Kaepernick, to beat the Bucs.

This just in: Sideshow Bob has become as clueless about quarterbacking as he is about Latin American dictators.

This is just setting up beautifully for Mike Smith’s defense.

And, we still gotta play the game.

  2. KingBuc17 Says:

Please Bucs do not overlook this game. I like our chances if Hyde is a no go but the surprise loss of VJax really hurts our WR2 position. I thought after 3 clutch catches in Carolina he was getting back into gear with JW. Really Bummed. Dye is not the answer and I don’t think Louis (last legs) Murphy will be ready for SF or last throughout the remainder of the season.

  3. D-Rome Says:

That’s too bad about Carlos Hyde because he’s been a solid value play for me all season on DraftKings.

  4. Harry in Costa Rica Says:

This is the first game that starts the easier part of our schedule. Providing us with an opportunity to go on a roll. However, it is on the road and on the west coast, so the Bucs need to come ready to play.

  5. Erik w/ Clean Athletics & United Games - a new 'Interactive' Fantasy Sports app by the makers of Madden Football Says:

Historically, when all the odds and game picks are stacked in our favor, we’ve shat the bed.

Hopefully, we come out and play like it’s a big game/rivalry.

Because we desperately need a winning streak to hit my 12-4 season prediction. LOL

I think I’m adjusting my official prediction to 10-6.

  6. Miko Says:

losing to these turds would be worse than the 3 game losing streak we witnessed…

  7. Buc1987 Says:

Erik…when you realize this is an 8-8 team then you’ll be okay buddy. lol

    8-8 and I’ll take it!

  8. BucFan20 Says:

But on the road is the only place we have won so far this year! So it is more likely then The Den Of Depression!

  9. Jeagan1999 Says:

Can’t wait to see the Bucs open up a can of “whoop ass” in this clown, Kapernick! Beat the 49ers and get back in the playoff hunt! Sounds like a win-win to me!

  10. pick6 Says:

let’s just make sure kaepernick doesn’t have a 200 yard rushing day, because that would be the quintessential buccaneers thing to have happen.

  11. KingBuc17 Says:

I hope we headhunt that commie, American hater, $114 million dollar backup QB Kapernikick. What other country would allow you to make over $100 million and hold a clip board. Go live some where else if you think it is so bad here. Kwon & LVD please knock that guy into another time zone and get the win. prediction Bucs 31 – SF 13. Quizz over 125yds and Evans 2 TD’s.

  12. Negative Jeff Says:

Be VERY carefuly Joe. An extremly mobile QB and Chip Kelly’s one of a kind offense will be a huge challenge for the Bucs. I remember Kap coming to Tampa a few years ago and he literally put on a QB clinic. This same team crushed the Rams 28-0 this year. This team is dangerous becasue the Bucs lack any kind of consistency and our basic 4-3 scheme is easy prey for Kap and Chip. 49ers 24 TB 20 and Kap is the bell of the ball on Sportscenter.

  13. rashad Says:

As a die heart fan, i don’t feel good about this game. the games that we are suppose to win, we lose. every time.

  14. R.O. Says:

Oh look.. other teams struggle with depth also… OMG. The Packers had to use WRs last week at RB. Packers GM should be fired for not having talent at every level of the depth chart…

  15. DB55 Says:

History-challenged? What does that even mean?

Can someone help me understand why Kaps protest is so detestable but the Bundy protestors were patriots? Kap peacefully protests against social injustice. The Bundy protestors pointed high caliber rifles and hand-guns at federal agents. Why no out-cry for the Bundy protest? Is it as simple as black and white. Help me understand this from your prospective. Hoping for an honest discussion.

  16. tmaxcon Says:

    rashad

you nailed it sir… every “Supposed To” win game should scare the hell out of every bucs fan.

  17. tmaxcon Says:

    DB55

That is a tough one. I for one hate the little prick but more for his ignorance than his right to protest. I am a vet. I have lost friends / family that served so I hate and will get a little pissy with anyone who disrespects the country, burns a flag or bad mouths our troops in anyway. He has a right to do it and I get that but it still stings a little bit. I don’t think there is a right answer to your question though which makes it a great question. I guess it depends on the individual and their backgrounds their core beliefs. I respect anyone who has a legit opinion that they truly believe is right but too many people today are sheep and just follow with the protest of the day or whatever BS Politically Correct topic of the week is. Those people can kiss my arse… If you have a core belief and you want to express your objection to something that is in contradiction than go for it that being said one must remember there is always a reaction to any action…

  18. DB55 Says:

    Tmax

    That’s fair. Thanks.

  19. jerseybuc Says:

DB55 here is my feeling on the matter….

You want RESPECT but you show dis respect to get it? he loses me right there. Sorry, this bozo is being brainwashed by his POS girlfriend who has a history of hating on the US, spewing pro radical muslim beliefs and marxism whenever she opens her mouth. Check out Kap’s twitter account and you can see a real transformation in the past year.
His right, but I don’t think he should get to do it in a 49er uniform. The owner thinks otherwise, which in liberal SF I guess is no shock. He gets paid millions not because he is a good football player (that is even in question) but because fans like us pay big money for the product, When you tweak the nose of the paying customer you can expect to get flak. I love how we are all supposed to praise him for his right to “protest” but if we disagree we are immediately labeled as racist. It is getting tired. I can’t wait to put this clown back on the bench where he belongs this Sunday.

  20. DB55 Says:

    Jersey

How do you compare or justify his protest vs the bundy protestors pointing guns and hijacking federal land?

  21. jerseybuc Says:

I don’t justify anyone who takes the law into their own hands or who seizes federal land, no matter what their reasoning was. We have a court system to fight perceived injustice. That was wrong. That group got no support where I live.

  22. Bucsfanman Says:

I’d like to chip in on this. This is why this country is so great jerseybuc. You don’t have to like it and you really don’t even need a reason to not like it.
I’m in the same category as tmax, veteran and sometimes ornery. There really is no right answer EXCEPT, if you’re not part of the solution you are part of the problem. Kap’s protest is hollow if he is not actively pursuing solutions or aiding in those pursuits. We all have different backgrounds and beliefs and as long as we are not harming one another we can all believe what we want.
Just because YOU believe or don’t believe in something doesn’t make it wrong or right. There is one tenet to almost every religious belief known to man (including Islam). It is known as The Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have done unto you. If we all practiced this simple rule, there would be much more peace in this world.
That said, saw Kap in half defense!!!

  23. gmoney76 Says:

I am a Vet and have a year till I retire. I serve to defend his right to protest. As a veteran I have to get this off my chest. Active duty make up 1% of the population. Are we forgetting that it belongs to the other 99%? If you want to go to a country where you are forced to stand, pledge allegiance (which I do) then go to North Korea. This is what makes our country the best in the world. What he says has much validity to it, and are real problems in America. Look in North Dakota with the Dakota Access pipeline protest, police are militarized protecting corporate interest….not the interest of the people. This is not the cops fault, but the states. Look at police brutality in cases are not held accountable. He called out both candidates from both parties for lies, corruption and bigotry. Are you really satisfied with our country’s direction? At what point is our government held accountable? Who/what needs to be done to get the conversation going? Perhaps kneeling during the anthem might spark that debate. Oh wait that already happened. People to threaten his life over a song is disgusting and everything that is wrong with people in our country. I was not offended by his actions. He has that right. Not something I would do, but I serve to protect that freedom. Wanting your country tobe better and hold it’s end of the bargain is not unpatriotic, in fact it is the exact opposite. My take on the whole Kaepernick drama.

At the end of the day though. I want my Bucs to whip his behind, cause he and the Niners are in the way of our Bucs moving to .500!

    FIRE THE CANNONS!!!

  24. DB55 Says:

    Bucfan

    Ty sir!

  25. DB55 Says:

    Gmoney

Great point about the pipeline. Excellent point in fact.

  26. BennyBucs Says:

Joe you are a pretentious SOB. Kap ain’t do nothing, the killer cops did fool. Let your son get his head blown off for no reason & let’s see what direction those insults are flying then.

  27. Bucsfanman Says:

Tip of the hat to my veteran brethren gmoney, tmax, and all!

  28. 813bucboi Says:

@db55….as you said its as simple as black vs white….its completely absurd to hate someone for a peaceful protest while ignoring that meaning behind the protest….I have family and friend currently in the army and navy that understand his protest, support his protest and have never been offended by it….kap came out and said his protest is not meant to disrespect those who serve our country but yet people still hate him for protesting….why?…his protest represents change needed in social injustice…not hatred for America…I understand people may not agree with his gesture of the protest but to wish bad things upon him like injury or death threats just goes to show were some people stand on the side of the fence in regards to social injustice….people that aren’t effected by social injustice don’t care about his protest they only care about his gesture….it doesn’t effect their community…it doesn’t effect their way of life….I hope kap and others continue the protest until change is made….GO BUCS!!!!

  29. Buc1987 Says:

My life matters too, I could be shot by a cop tomorrow, and I’m white.

Okay that might rile up the room, but it’s true, my brothers.

  30. teacherman777 Says:

    @joe

Your boy Donald trump likes Vladimir Putin!!

    And Saddam Hussein!!

    They are both dictators too!!

Perhaps you might need to check your logic there buddy.

I know you support Trump and Trump loves Vladimir Putin, the journalist killing, Bashar Assad funding, murdering dictator of Russia!

  31. DB55 Says:

    813

    Ty. That was very honest.

I’ve noticed some slight changes i.e. I’m not seeing killings on a weekly basis (watch one happen tom), I also heard the pres(?) of police chiefs acknowledge the problem and history behind the protest. I even saw of group of white people protesting with BLM which personally I thought was long overdue.

If you guys haven’t already check out the new Netflix doc “The 13th” it may provide some more insight and a different perspective on the issue at hand.

  32. teacherman777 Says:

    @813BucBoi

I feel you bro! Well said!!

  33. teacherman777 Says:

    @bennybucs

    Preach!!!

    One Love!!

  34. teacherman777 Says:

    @gmoney76

    Love you bro!!

  35. DB55 Says:

    87

You could but it’s unlikely. I now you are passionate about this issue but we ain’t fighting or arguing today. Today is for learning. Hopefully we can all take away a new perspective on things.

Check this out and tell me what you think or if this has ever happened to you. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=djyysjn6vCg

I’ve already read the comments on conservative sights but I’m interested in your thoughts.

  36. Buccfan37 Says:

Kaepernick reminds me of 60’s style social justice seekers, sort of Black Panther style. How peculiar that a social issue is attacked and the haters crawl out of the woodwork to point out how unpatriotic it is to question the established order. An order that steals your jobs for greater profit out of country while at the same time bringing in illegals to further lower your wages. An order that has sold out Americans as mere chattel in service to the one percent. That’s reality.

  37. gmoney76 Says:

DB55 13th is a great documentary everyone should checkout….shoutout to all the vets on here!

  38. tmaxcon Says:

    Buccfan37

Very nice sir… whatever happen to By the People, For the People…. It’s not about R and D’s it’s about the elected officials losing touch with every day Americans. the politicians represent their agendas not the every day person. None of would know the truth or reality if it hit them in the face.

  39. Pit Says:

The issue is not why is he doing the protest to me is really offensive when you call my flag “a piece of cloth” and my anthem “just a song”.
All of those that do that are ppl with no country which means you have no identity.
And no one in the world has the right to disrespect the symbol of a country and in this case the greatest country in the world even though our politicians are working hard to destroy this country.

  40. DB55 Says:

    Pit

That’s more offensive to you than an armed militia?

That’s what I really want to understand. Why no out-cry over an armed militia pointing guns at cops but absolute hatred over Kap kneeling?

  41. 813bucboi Says:

    @db55…thanks…i’ll check it out….GO BUCS!!!

  42. Bucsfanman Says:

You’re right tmax, they are completely out of touch.
@DB55- Wow, just watched the video! Jaywalking?! Really?! Watching this bears the question, what if he were white? I’m sorry, you have to ask! Look at the neighborhood. Props to the lady filming.
This country really needs to have a sit-down and talk about stuff like this. Way to get it started DB55!

  43. Pit Says:

If you disrespect my flag yes. It is the worst offense you could do to smbdy.

And I am not defending those idiots that think they should do whatever they want and the laws don’t apply to them. i don’t even know why the government didn’t shoot all of them. you point a gun at an officer you should be shot. But their little revolt got handled from the government but this guy is insulting all Ameticans and ppl are ok with it.

Instead of Kap kneeling why doesn’t he pay for lawyers or lobbying firms to try change things where it actually matters?

Did you guys see any NBA players kneel? Or call the flag a piece of cloth. Some of them did protest in their own way and is fine.

I want you to hear All the replies from NBA players to what they think of this kind of protest and if they are going to do the same. Then you realize that even Draymond Green is smarter then Kap.

  44. DB55 Says:

    Pit

    Ok. Fair. Ty.

  45. Pit Says:

Thank you for bringing up a delicate theme.

But yeah Racism is a big issue and when you see who will be our president for the next 4 year I don’t see it becoming better. 🙁

  46. DB55 Says:

Is Hillary racist too? I still consider Bill our first Black prez. Lol.

  47. tmaxcon Says:

I still consider Bill our first Black prez.

that is some funny sh!t right there… Bill bill would be perfect for that fluffers job I mentioned earlier.

  48. tmaxcon Says:

Joe, I forgot to mention this earlier but would it not have been easier to title the article Dungy versus typing out One Dimensional.

  49. Rrsrq Says:

We been torched by Case Keemun, Alfred Blue and who knows what unnamed WR took our secondary to Sokol, I’ll wait and see. Go Bucs

  50. Rrsrq Says:

    DB55,

You got plenty to chew on, Joe is loving this, he saw how it got folks fired up yesterday. Me for one, like many said, if you don’t agree with his protest, your response is violence, just proves his point. You can’t build a country on deceit and discrimination and think it will continue to just be a blip on your history. Deep seeded issues being brought to light, what is going on in our communities with rogue cops, two people viewing for president with more controversy in their closets than comedians can keep,up with. BTW, that video, likely many of the posters here don’t know that DWB and WWB actually raises suspicion, I have experienced it and saw my son go,through the same thing, for doing absolutely nothing but walking, driving and being pulled by the police and 5 cars show up with sniffing dogs and I am a black professional.

  51. DB55 Says:

    Rrsrq

    Hi welcome
