Charles Sims Not Practicing

October 4th, 2016
Not practicing.

Not practicing.

Add running back Charles Sims to the list of walking wounded for the Bucs.

Various reports on Twitter claim Sims was not at Bucs practice today during the open window allotted for observation. The Bucs gained an extra day of practice with the Monday night game looming.

It appears Sims took a hard hit to the knee from a blast by Aqib Talib on Sunday and the hit has lingering effects. No word to the severity of the injury.

With so many injuries I can’t help but think the Broncos were playing dirty. We know Talib does.

This is what happens when the wannabes play the big boys. Bucs got seal-clubbed. Good barometer on how far this team needs to go to be successful.

  3. Bucsfanman Says:

Hopefully he’ll be all right. We don’t have a whole lot left in terms of depth at his position.

  4. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Says:

LOL, Talib treated Sims like a Cab Driver.
Seriously, Talib has been asked if he was mad at Tampa for letting him go ?
He said he was eternally grateful to be released from a perennial bottom dwelling team like Tampa.

  5. University of Seffner Says:

With all these injuries piling up, the Bucs are gonna have to go to Publix to find more players. Maybe the Truck Drivers could be useful… (Sarcasm)

  6. Tampabaybucfan Says:

No dirty play….we just simply got whipped by a much better team….they didn’t win a Superbowl with no talent.

  7. Bucamania Says:

Oh noooos! Who is gonna dance in the hole and then fumble?

  8. ndog Says:

Wow Joe so now McCoy is a wannabe?

  9. JJ Says:

How many former Bucs running backs are playing elsewhere in the NFL?

  10. Bucamania Says:

Saw Bobby Rainey toting the rock last night for the NY football Giants. Blount….

  11. canadian bucsfan Says:

Would have been a great opportunity for Mike James right now had he not got mysteriously injured

  12. OAR Says:

Mike James is on Detroit Lions practice squad.

  13. @Hands2theface Says:

    Justin Forsett anyone?

  14. Buc4Lyfe79 Says:

GOOD!!! We already know Simms isnt a between the tackles runner, plug in Barber and see what he can do, he IS occupying a roster spot, what else is he there for?!

  15. Hawaiian Buc Says:

With the way these injuries are piling up, it’s only fair to question Koetter’s method in camp and preseason as for being easy on the guys to have them healthy for the regular season. Maybe it would have happened regardless, but I can’t believe how many critical guys we are losing, and not to minor injuries.

  16. unbelievable Says:

Yup. I said this during preseason and OTAs.

Trying to keep your guys healthy is a nice goal, but with the new CBA limiting practice time, these guys need to actually get into football shape before the season starts!

We’re seeing how soft this team is. These guys can’t handle the hard hits and that’s simply not acceptable.

By my count, we now have Jac Smith, Robert Ayers, Noah Spence, Doug Martin, Charles Sims, Luke Stocker, and Brandon Meyers all with injuries. Plus Gholston, Hawley, and LVD all limping and leaving the game for several plays…

@ University of Seffner – so just to clarify, when you said the Bucs may want to sign Publix truck drivers to the squad you weren’t being serious??? Whew, I am glad you noted that was sarcasm because if not everyone would have thought you were serious! SMDH!

  18. Conte Piscateli Says:

I don’t really think the Broncos play dirty. What they do is is play with a very physical defense. They pride themselves on it. I recall in the Dungy era when we used to play physical defense teams had an awful recorded the week after playing us because they were physically beat up. Fact is we fail to match the intensity of our competition, physically or mentally.

  19. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Nobody plays dirty in 2016. It’s called football, and it’s dangerous. Always has been, always will be.

  20. OAR Says:

    Hawaiin….amen!
Jimmy McGinty: Falco, it’s nasty out there.
Shane Falco: That’s why girls don’t play the game, coach.

  21. Miko Says:

ditto the GOOD comment…horrible runner, strictly 3rd down back…very overrated and a turnover machine as well as Jameis…barber n rodgers it is…

  22. Buc'n Enough Says:

I wonder if the 2nd round blunder kicker can run the ball better than he kicks..Oh, wait, he would miss that hole too…

Talib may have stopped getting into trouble with the law (I think) on a winning team, but he still hasn’t lost that ability to be a complete D!(K HE@D.

@OAR Since we’re making The Replacements references someone get VJax some axel grease on his gloves

  24. BucTrooper Says:

How could so many people get injured in one game? Someone’s faking.

  25. bradinator Says:

Let Barber have a shot. He doesn’t look like a “Dancing With The Stars” contestant when going through the hole. Rogers on 3rd/change of pace. Not ideal, I wish we still had Mike James though.
