No Boot But No Practice For Ayers
September 28th, 2016Today during open locker room for the local pen and mic club, Joe noticed defensive end Robert Ayers walking around without a boot and his damaged left ankle wasn’t wrapped in any way.
This is obviously a good sign. But in the portion of practice available to the fourth estate, Ayers was not participating in defensive line drills. That doesn’t mean he may have participated later after the viewing window closed.
Clearly him walking around without a boot or his ankle wrapped is a good sign, though he did have a slight limp.
Joe also noticed something pretty cool. It isn’t just players who like music at work.
While a rap song filled the air (Joe isn’t sure the artist) defensive line coach Jay Hayes was demonstrating a line drill where the linemen raced down a line of tackling dummies using arm techniques to level the dummies. Hayes styled, stepping and bouncing with the music as he floated down the line, shoulders square to the dummies, forearming each while moving to the beat.

So do they start trying to play rap music during the game to get them to figure it out?
