Kwon: I Will Be Better
September 3rd, 2016Interesting words from Bucs middle linebacker Kwon Alexander earlier this week.
He believes he will be better.
Alexander, much to the annoyance of the PFF tribe, was a strong candidate for Defensive Rookie of the Year — until he had to serve a four-game suspension for what is believed to be chugging a banned energy drink in preseason.
Despite a solid season last year, albeit 12 games, Alexander said he was pretty much playing on instinct in 2015.
“Yeah. I knew what I was supposed to do, but just being a rookie, your first time in the NFL, you’re just going to go out there, sometimes you make mistakes,” Alexander said. “But now you know those things going into your second year. So it’s going to be a good year.”
And to hear Alexander talk, Mike Smith’s defense fits him like a glove because he is able to run-and-hit.
“I like his style, I love his style,” Alexander said of Smith. “I’m out here having fun, running around here making plays. When you can do that and just have fun [and] just be yourself – play like you’re in high school or something – you’re going to do big things on the defense.”
If Alexander is more comfortable in Smith’s defense and he believes he will be better this year, then it makes Joe’s head spin. Alexander was a total terror last year. If he is even better? Watch out.

I’m sure he will improve…..but it just doesn’t get much better than that play he made taking the ball away from Julio Jones…..wow!!!

I think Kwon is gonna have a great year. Things Will slow down for him in his second year and like Joe stated he can read and react, this Defense is playing to his strengths, we all know that Kwon can fly around and hit u. Better keep a eye on where 58 is at all times if your an opponent. Just ask McClown.
Btw madden gave no love to Kwon with a rating of 74. Really?? At least a 79 would be decent. That’s ok tho, he will prove the haterz wrong again this year.

Most of his improvement needs to be in angles to the ball and missed tackles. He is a terror and I am a huge fan of Kwon. But if he can get those things down he can be one of the best mlbs in the game

I didnt care for thw way he played in the preseason. It looked like he missed a lot of oportunities ro make plays but wiffed. Hopefully he can pick it up the same way LVD did last season. Hopwdully it doesnt linger into the season the way LVD did though. We have a good group of LBs, they need to play lights out this year. Standards are high, we need to see some wins this year.

I hope you guys can see the writing on the wall. All three phases of our D has been shored up. Actually Four phases when you count Coaching. This Defense is one to be reckoned with I believe. So much so that I picked em up in my Money FF league.
GO BUCS

2 and 0 is a very possible start for us. Carson Palmer looked like straight doo doo at the end of last season and has looked even worse in the PreSeason this yr. He has thrown for 50% with no TDs and Three Picks. When this Defense gets a hold of him he will fold.

Points against the Bucs will be lower, the building sign of a contender.

WOULD PPL PLEASE STOP POSTING MADDEN RATINGS! Kwon didn’t stand out much in preseason but that doesn’t mean he won’t start the nastiness during the regular. He’s been working real hard with Smitty and wants to be the Jameis of this D. Excited to see what LVD is gonna do cus I think he’s gonna ball this year
