“He Does Not Settle For Mediocrity In Our Building”
September 10th, 2016Candid Dirk Koetter gave America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, special compliments last night.
Speaking on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Koetter, of course, was asked about what Bucs fans should be excited about seeing from Jameis.
The head coach didn’t really getting into too many football details. Koetter was more interested in talking about the dedication of his QB, shedding new light on just how extreme Jameis’ focus is.
“Jameis comes to work every day with just a great attitude. He wants to get better. He wants to be great. He’s unbelievable with the players, “Koetter said. “I mean, this kid is driven. And he does not settle for mediocrity in our building. I usually roll into the parking lot at about 5:45 in the morning, There’s his car already sitting there. Pitch black. And his car’s already there.
“Just a very hard worker. I think he’s worked hard on his fundamentals and some things we asked him to work on. … I’m really looking forward to seeing how Jameis plays this year. I do think that the game will slow down some [for him.]”
The “slow down” line will be key for Jameis, and it will be tested tomorrow.
Joe is a bit concerned about Jameis’ propensity to get overhyped and his history of slow starts. He seems primed to be super amped for tomorrow’s game in the wild Georgia Dome, mixed with the burning desire to motivate his teammates.
Joe hopes Koetter can get Jameis settled in quickly and take the crowd out of the game.

Now if we can somehow get this fanbase to stop accepting mediocrity we’ll be on our way.

Last season was less than mediocre, just like Koetter’s record as a head coach.

would like to see Jameis perform well in both set offense and hurry up.one thing that concerns me about the hurry up as majority of offensive plays is:
I watched Denver several years ago when Payton was still running one of the most effective offenses in the league. It was a beautiful thing to watch until the defense got a stop. Then it seemed Denver’s offense deflated and Denver often lost.Any other thought on this?
