Two More Interceptions For Vernon Hargreaves
August 23rd, 2016Vernon Hargreaves is feeling it, Bucs fans, even under scorching mid-day sun against the Browns today at One Buc Palace.
Tampa Bay’s joint practice against Cleveland was a busy affair, with action on two fields simultaneously.
Joe saw one diving pick by Hargreaves over the middle in 7-on-7 work against Robert Griffin, III.
Joe asked Hargreaves about it after practice, and Hargreaves quickly corrected Joe and advised he had two picks — not one — vs. RGIII.
The No. 11 overall pick says he’s benefited a lot from the different looks from the joint practice against the Jaguars and the preseason games. And that translated again today.
“You just got to find it. That’s my little saying,” Hargreaves said. “Through it all you just got to find it. You got to find yourself and find what works. Once it starts cooking for you, it starts clicking. You’ve got to keep it up.”
Hargreaves said he “loves playing defense” and has no concerns or thoughts about playing outside cornerback or nickel cornerback.
Bucs fans should be smiling this afternoon.

Happy to hear he’s making plays against the 1st team receivers, if that’s the case.

cautiously optimistic but encouraged by his play.
Joe, any pics of the loser twins (Glennon & McClown) hugging it out while reminiscing about the good ole days when McClown beat out 8.

Ball skills people… It’s what separates the good from the great. Revis, Grimes, Honey Badger… They all have excellent ball skills and can cover. A lot of corners can apply decent coverage but can find the ball and make a play on it. VH3 has elite skills and should have an outstanding career.

He will shine under the lights. He needs to start right away.
He’s ready for reps. To be great, you need reps.
Get this boy on the field.
But keep Verner as a great #4.
Keep Jude at Nickel. He likes to HIT.

This is the tale of two stories one who is finding the confidence and gaining ground everyday, and the other is losing that confidence day by day. This is the beauty of the draft for VH3 and Aguayo. VH3 said it best by ” Through it all you just got to find it”. Let’s hope that Aguayo finds “it”. That being said alls we can do as fans is support the young kicker. Anything can happen. Go Bucs!!

VH3 looked great on those pics. Like the kids attitude from the time he stated about being fired up for special teams…i.e Ronde Barber.

Don’t hear all the haterz who were dogging this pick now. I’m not suprised on bit. Yes it’s only, practice and preseason but he’s flashing the ball skillz he showed at UF and the main reason the bucs drafted him. Mark my words, he will be opposite of Grimes come opening day. #tried to tell em. #28 is the real deal #dem boyz from da Swamp. #DBU

I keep hearing “keep Verner as a no. 4 or 5” why should u pay a guy 8 mill to sit on the bench when u have plenty of other guys that can perform just as well or better then him. Verner has been gift wrapped a starting job and so far he has done NOTHING with it. I hope he does start making plays cause I like Verner as well but there comes a time when u got to give the next guy a shot. Jude has looked better than 21 so far.
