A Budding Sackmeister?
August 13th, 2016Joe keeps trying to tell himself, “He’s a rookie. It’s his first preseason game. Put the damned beer down and relax!”
(This is also why Joe sits in the corners of bars as not to scare fellow patrons.)
What was Joe babbling about? Rookie defensive end Noah Spence after watching a video shared by Fran Duffy. A film analyst for the Eagles official website, Duffy threw out a video of fellow rookie, Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz.
Duffy noted how Wentz kept his eyes downfield as he glided to his right to stay away from traffic. Good thing he did. As Spence was on the prowl. Check out how Spence works the Eagles’ left tackle. Mind you this was Spence’s very first game, albeit a preseason game.
If this doesn’t get Bucs fans excited about the future, head back to that coffee pot and get a refill. Or perhaps pour a spicy Bloody Mary.

I watched just Spence most of the game and I was wowed.

I wholeheartedly stand by my prediction that Spence will break the rookie sack record with 15 sacks. (J Kearse had 14.5)
No need to temper your enthusiasm, Bucs fans…
I can definitely see Spence averaging AT LEAST 1 sack per game.
He is a more polished pass rusher and has a wider arsenal of pass rush moves than most DE’s in the NFL right out of the gate.

^^^ Great name btw, NOSBOS.

Very advanced handwork for not only a rookie, but A second round pick rookie at that!!!! Its one thing to have the ablity to be fast!!! But the hand work tells me he is serious about this and has put in some serious work!!!!!
Go Bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“You gone eat we all gone eat” Spawn a star is being born.

Don’t forget that he was the best pure pass rusher in the draft. Would have been a first round pick if not for the off the field.

I want a jersey. #57

High hopes that our pass rush is for real this year with Spence and Ayers in the fold. Thursday night’s game was a good start and great to see.
August 13th, 2016 at 11:10 am
Before the ecstasy stuff, Spence was a better prospect than Joey Bosa at Ohio State- and Bosa went 3rd overall.
Spence is an elite talent, and if he’s got his head on straight, we got ourselves an epic steal.
August 13th, 2016 at 11:25 am
I’ll say it again Shaolin EPIC STEAL. someone said the other day they were nervous when carolina was on the board. I was sweating bricks thinking they would snagg him or Ogbah. Man o man how that decision not to will prove to work in our favor. cam gone have to deal wit this young man yo.

Im happy to have him too. But get grip people !
Mack runs a 4.6 he had 15 sacks this year
Von Miller runs a 4.49 he had 11 sacks
Spence runs a 4.8 he’s going to almost get there a lot.
Plus he’s just not as long as them he will help us but lets not go crazy
August 13th, 2016 at 11:48 am
Yep that .2 is going to do him.
August 13th, 2016 at 11:48 am
him in*.
SMH.

About that 4.8 40 time…. Spence had a lingering hamstring injury at the combine and still choseto run.
Also, 10-yard quickness is more important than 40 time whenit comes to rushing the passer.
Spence looks to have an ELITE first step and great elusiveness.
August 13th, 2016 at 1:43 pm
He was on par with Von and Mack in the 10 yard split. That is much more important than 40 time for a d lineman.
August 13th, 2016 at 1:45 pm
If Noah has to run 40 yards to get to the QB then we have much bigger problems on our hands. Looked good to me in game and that’s what counts
August 13th, 2016 at 2:16 pm
With all the other lineman getting in there too theres nowhere to hide. I can see dancing boy cram Newton sulking with a towel over his head already.
August 13th, 2016 at 4:02 pm
I would caution all to wait until the regular season games are played. He has promise but its preseason.

@ Donuts
Your point is that the opponents offence is Vanilla in pre season?
Well our defense was Vanilla on thursday, no stunts or anything.
If you can beat the man across fromantic you, you can beat him. Preseason or regular season, if you r faster your faster
