VIDEO: Jumpin’ Vincent Jackson
July 29th, 2016Mr. Vincent Jackson, a gigantic X-factor in the Buccaneers’ season, looked like one healthy cat at training camp yesterday, after a very restful spring with many days off.
Here’s a peek:
As Joe noted in yesterday’s detailed Day 1 practice notes, V-Jax was sharp in the back of the end zone, too. Check out the video below.

I can’t understand why so many were critical of him for being dinged up last season. I mean from my recolection that’s most football he’s ever missed in his career right. I’m geeked man,say what you want Famous threw for over 4 stacks wit out Vjax on the field and out of shape. Imagine what it’s about to look like wit him on the field.

I agree Tampabaybucfan, we can always count on VJax. He’s as close to the perfect-FA-acquisition as you can get. Great team member, great mentor for our younger WRs, and he’s performed exceptionally well on the field.

I’m as enamored with the potential of Kenny Bell as any other Bucs fan, but there’s something to be said about wisdom and experience. Vincent Jackson embodies those two things about as well as anyone in the league right now. Kwon Alexander being out the last four games of last season was significant, but Mr. Jackson missing 6 games was arguably as (if not more) paramount. I look forward to seeing him back on the field. He may not flash on tape like he used to, but I don’t buy the NFL package to watch tape. I’m not a coach. I pay to see touchdowns. He gets those.

Jackson is entering that Tony Gonzalez class, where they just dont age when you expect them to. He’s always been an incredible athlete and the way he conditions and takes care of himself makes it hard to say when his tank will run out. So glad he’s a Buc. By far the best free agent signing since Brad Johnson.

First down Vincent Jackson! I expect to hear that a lot this season.

Andre Johnson signed with Tenn but we signed a WR with a SB ring so there’s that.

So we’re all in agreement. VJax is a very valuable member of this team – and even at a $12M cap hit this year, everyone who is a part of and/or cares about the fortunes of this franchise is glad he is here.
My hope is that Vincent truly appreciated the loyalty and goodwill shown to him by Jason Licht in not demanding a restructured deal this year – and that VJax signs a 2 year team friendly extension or new contract with the Bucs at the conclusion of 2016.

Lot of noise abot our third reciever but I dont think that position iis extremely important. We got TEs and RBs who can contribute too. We have a great one-two punch with our recievers in a dynamic young Evans and V-Jax who has gotten 1000 in 8 seasons in the past decade.
Look around the league and we have better 1-2 WR then most. Of course Jackson needs to stay healthy but thats what any team says about their strenghts.

The throw by JW was the story. Drops like a pillow for an easy catch. That’s tough to do. Look at gleanons throw.
