Marpet Says Hobart Could Beat Florida State
July 16th, 2016No, the date is not April 1.
It’s July 16. Bucs veterans report back to work in 11 days. The Training Camp Express departs in 14 days. (FREE LUNCH!)
Things are heating up, but Joe is always game for a good laugh. In the radio interview of Ali Marpet below, he expresses confidence that his Division-III Hobart College Statesmen could take down mighty Florida State. Yes, Marpet was talking football, not lacrosse.
Starting at 5:25 of the video/audio, 104.5 FM in the Albany are of New York has locker room audio of Marpet jawing with America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, and hysterical teammates in the background. Marpet is adamant Hobart would beat FSU in a close game.
Marpet is asked on radio about his captured commentary, and he didn’t back off.
“The best of Hobart is not far off from the best of Florida State. I can honestly say that,” Marpet said, among other things.
Joe’s a bit speechless at that one, though based on Marpet’s confidence, Joe would take Hobart and the points in Vegas. Joe’s thinking Florida State -55 1/2.

Love the guy but he needs a drug test. Hobart could take the gators and canes no doubt but FSU come on man…
July 16th, 2016 at 2:57 pm
What do you expect from a guy who was told he couldn’t play in the NFL then proved everyone wrong? Love his confidence – hip Hobart!

Hobart isn’t as good without Marpet…..
I’m thinking Marpet vs Winston……arm wrestling…maybe then…Hobart wins….

Alli I can say to that is “oo ee oo ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang,” I would say USF Bulls could beat FSU, but hey they already did that, OMG, lmao Hobart, is that the industrial appliance maker. They couldn’t beat the Gators though. FSU is not all that far removed from being a women only colllege in the grand scheme of things. Besides this is primarily UF territory, no?

I should have not included flirida gators in the post above. after all they produce such great role models like Aaron Hernandez and the pouncy btotherd… my bad…. oh wait there is more lets not leave out the basketball role models

Lol well said bucfan37
@Tmax
don’t act like FSU is made up of a bunch of choir boys, the only difference is that the Tallahassee police keep everything on the low and protect FSU players. Sorry we don’t have crooked police down in the swamp that care more about football than then the law. Don’t worry tho, coach Mac will have us back in form VERY soon. He took us to the SEC championship with practicslly no offense. Wait till he gets his QB. Must be nice playin in the cream puff conference. I would LOVE to see the Noles in the SEC. WHERE THE BIG DOGS PLAY.

That’s right TMax, don’t forget those BACK 2 BACK CHAMPIONSHIPS. Holla at us when u accomplish that one. Thx 4 reminding me. Dont hate cause FSU SUCKS at basketball.
July 17th, 2016 at 7:59 am
And BTW Tmax, your irrelevant article said nothing about our basketball players. I think your mad that FSU is only good at one sport u like the gators who run FOOTBALL, Basketball, and baseball. U guys play in the softest conference, gimme a break. I would like to see u guys face Alabama, LSU, Georgis, Auburn, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Tennesee, Arkansas, Missouri, as so on. In stead of teams like Virginia, Wake Forest, Syracuse, Boston College and the Canes. The ONLY good team yall have (wich just became good last year) is Clemson. Must be nice playin in the cream puff conference.

Damn dude relax… nothing wrong with a little ribbing between state schhol rivals…. but i did check anf uf has the most felons serving time currently…. they both have 3 nstional champions a piece but Miami has 5… also there was a 10 year stretch where the sec was a joke and miami and fsu were playing brutal schedules facing other independents you might be too young to rember that….. go noles

Floria gators runs football? Lol acc creampuff div let’s see Florida in the Atlantic division FSU 55 Florida 17 Clem 49 fla 14 Louisville 44 fla 21 nc state 38 fla 32 wake 21 fla 24 Syracuse 14 fla 28 BC 21 fla 7 north Carolina 48 fla 17
July 17th, 2016 at 11:01 am
All these big Florida college teams are good, big population, nice weather beats the cold and plenty of incoming talent. It’s tough to recruit up against the Big 3 for the best players, not to mention nearly every national team coming here scooping up overflowing talent. USF is the local team, they’re getting better, man I love that. Gators vs Seminoles are a good rivalry, no love lost there.
July 17th, 2016 at 11:07 am
FSU 120, Hobart 8
July 17th, 2016 at 4:43 pm
Theoretically, FSU could score 1000 points in a game against Hobart. Yes, 10 to the THIRD POWER. I’m glad we are using Ali for his brawn, not brains.

You’re supposed to finish all the medicine the doctor prescribes.
July 17th, 2016 at 6:38 pm
I could see Hobart SMASHING the Gators..UF is apretty crappy these days…
July 17th, 2016 at 11:39 pm
FSU doesnt have winston anymore. Of course Hobart could win when the messiah isn’t on the field for the Seminoles.
