Training Camp Dates Released

UPDATED: 8:53 a.m.: Joe was off by a day.

Joe had guessed the Bucs would open training camp July 27 at One Buc Palace. Instead, it opens Thursday, July 28, and the first practice open to the public will be July 30.

Below are the dates and times practices are open to the public:

Get your alarm clocks ready! Dirk Koetter is starting early! Day 3 of training camp is when players can start hitting each other, per league rules. So fans will step right into the real action.

Saturday, July 30 – 8:45-10:50 a.m.
Sunday, July 31 – 8:45-10:50 a.m.
Monday, August 1 – 8:45-10:50 a.m.
Wednesday, August 3 – 8:45-10:50 a.m.
Thursday, August 4 – 8:45-10:50 a.m.
Saturday, August 6 – 8:45-10:50 a.m.
Monday, August 8 – 8:45-10:50 a.m.
Tuesday, August 9 – 8:45-10:50 a.m.
Saturday, August 13 – 8:45-10:50 a.m.
Monday, August 15 – 8:45-10:50 a.m.
Wednesday, August 24 – 9:45-11:50 a.m.*

* Joint Practice with Cleveland Browns

Details of the Buccaneers’ joint practices with the Jaguars, Aug. 17-18 in Jacksonville, have yet to be released. The Jaguars reported those practices will be open to the public.

    Be nice to hold one of the joint practices at the stadium.

    no night practices…too bad, but with all the joint practices mixed in it can get logistically tough i guess

    Another benefit to the morning practices is you will have the rest of the day to reschedule the practice incase of a morning rain out. where as before with the afternoon practices if you were rained out the day was wasted.

    No, but the educated guess is not this year (again). Remember that the Bucs are playing first two preseason games on the road due to the upgrades at the stadium.
