Jameis Buys A House

America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, has shunned the allure of local beaches and trendy South Tampa and bought a house in very quiet, family part of town.
This morning, the Tampa Bay Business Journal shared details of Jameis’ recent house purchase in Odessa. It’s in a small gated community off Gunn Highway. The report says Jameis now has 5,160 square feet and five bedrooms sitting on just over one acre.
Joe assumes there is no stripper pole in the living room or mattress in the front yard.
A good friend of Joe’s lives less than half a mile away in a much less expensive house. And Joe has been known to soothe himself by picking blueberries at a small farm down the road. So any future accusations of Joe lurking in the neighborhood would be unfounded.

I believe for the $1 million plus he spent, he could have been on the lake….nonetheless, he’s out in the country, away from the downtown/South Tampa action…..will obviously enjoy some peace and quiet out there….

Gunn Highway feels like an old home to me. My grandparents owned a small store there in the late ’40s early ’50s. I still remember a huge oatmeal raisin cookie out of a counter jar for 5 cents.

Odessa and Lutz is where it’s at. I have no idea what people see in South Tampa. I wouldn’t mind being on one of the Pinellas or Manatee beaches though.

Add some Bucs memorbelia and he’s set! My friends grand parents lived on that lake and we had awesome memories spending weekends there and jumping off the dock into the lake. Very awesome choice! His grandma told us a story how she saw what looked like the shape of a giant football hover over the lake then take off, she swore it was a UFO. But now I know it was the sign of a future Lombardi trophy coming our way. Go Bucs!
