“I See A Guy That’s Polished”
May 24th, 2016We already learned from Ronde Barber that he’s a trusted comrade in the Buccaneers’ front office, one with extreme access and a little influence.
Therefore, Barber’s recent breakdown of second-round pick Noah Spence is especially noteworthy.
Barber sees a rookie very ready to make an impact, Atlanta-ready, as Lovie Smith might say.
“He’s got a motor. He’s got a big motor. And he’s got established skills already,” Barber said of Spence on WDAE-AM 620. “There are good athletes who play the position, and there’s guys who understand the position and play with technique — and have a first move and then a second move, and a tertiary move, and play off things. He has that already. I actually saw some of his Ohio State film, too, from three seasons ago, before he transferred; and he was really, really good.
“You worry about the off-field concernrs, or whatever, things that he’s supposedly absolved himself of, which we can hope for as Bucs fans. But I see a guy that’s polished.
“He’s ready to come in now and play. And you don’t always get that from rookie D-ends. I mean, we’ve had our share come through the doors here in Tampa and really not pan out. Just based on his film … to me he looks like he can do it, like he’s the kind of guy who can come in and play right away.”
Man, that’s got to get Bucs fans fired up, even if general manager Jason Licht says Spence likely isn’t ready to be more than a part-time player.

It just boggles my mind folks can’t see how bad we are about to be. We got them “dudes” on this roster now man. Wit a G code coaching staff to match man. Maxie and Hayes seem so no none-since when they talk.

@luv
I love how quiet he is, like he’s super pissed and is about to make somebody pay for the total lack of respect. Real recognize real and I see a real g right there. He’s just staying under the radar right now. Can’t wait to see him play.

I’ll take my boi DSmith76, I got five on it.
May 24th, 2016 at 11:53 am
Yup! That’s what I was saying a week or so ago.
He just has that motor and speed. Those two things scream major production. He just looks natural.
The fact that they say he also has a few moves already is awesome.

Real Sh!t – I peeped that too.
Real cocky about it – like U don’t know – hold up.. let me show U.
I noticed that when he was manhandling a few tackles at the Senior Bowl.
Real talk I know a lot folks – wanna bark about his play against the run.
Let me tell yah – he’s way more polished then Jacquies Smith.

Tertiary move huh? On another site they would say Tiki would be flabbergasted by that word, but I digress. It’s good to hear comments like this from Ronde. He seems to be no b.s. in his assessments. Hopefully Spence can the productive rookie that most rookie DE’s aren’t.

Can’t wait for football to start.

May 24th, 2016 at 12:40 pm
Oh good lawd im gonna pretend I didn’t see that! Smith couldn’t keep up W spence but he owned Bosa.
May 24th, 2016 at 12:44 pm
Thanks for the link LUV. That was a good game that Spence had against Penn State. I like how they lined him up on alternating sides so often. Keeps the Olinemen guessing.

Spawn is a perfect name. It just feels right.
This dude is the Real Deal.
I predict we (as a whole defense) break the franchise sack record this year.
And we’re winning the Superbowl this year as well. (If u didn’t already know how I felt about that)
May 24th, 2016 at 1:49 pm
Erik I’m wit you bro its time to start believing. Superbowl win or bust next season. D@$! 2017.
May 24th, 2016 at 2:39 pm
Oh Im fired up alright!!! Cant wait to see what we have in Spence and VH. Excited about our other guys too….and Vitale is my wildcard. I want to see that guy be a bruiser.
Like Ive said, Im taming things. Rookies all around including the HC (but I still have confidence in him).
Im actually glad we have a tough schedule. Its time to get down and dirty and what better way to grow and learn than to be up against great competition. 2017 and 2018 are the seasons Im seeing us breaking out. Just let them go through their paces and develop chemistry this year.

Joe asked DSmith about playing against Spence. He turned red and was embarrassed. Said Spence had a good game. Ever seen a brother turn pink? Lol
May 24th, 2016 at 3:37 pm
I have the same feeling right now as I did during the offseason when Gruden was hired and we won the Superbowl his 1st year as coach.
Yep. It’s time to start believing, Bucs fans. Our potential for greatness is virtually unlimited at this point.
Buccaneers Dynasty starts in 2016.

-Bucky Brooks on Noah Spence
“Down at the senior bowl this guy was untouchable. No one could lay a hand on him because he’s got every move u want. If this guy can keep his nose clean he’s gonna dominate.”
May 26th, 2016 at 12:07 pm
I’m predicting he comes out like Jefferson in Fast Times at Ridgemont High after his car got trashed.
