Vernon Hargreaves Highlights

Joe wasn’t sold on new Bucs draft pick Vernon Hargreaves. But Joe is taking solace in the fact that Hall of Fame general manager Bill Polian called Hargreaves the cleanest corner in the draft.
This is a proactive move by the Bucs. Brent Grimes is 33 this fall. Johnthan Banks will be a free agent in 2017. Who knows if Alterraun Verner can be rehabbed?

I was just expecting more from the first pick. Not excited at all by this guy. Julio Jones, Brandin Cooks, and Kelvin Benjamin will eat Hargreaves for lunch.

Better value at 11 then Spence. Better draft for DL talent later in the first round or in the 2nd then CB. If VH3 works out we are looking better than in a long time in the secondary. Need the edge rusher and a WR.

This is stupid, you have to get pressure up front, hes going to get killed by benjamin,and julio. look at tape, slacker, slow and out of position, to small. Shaking my head at this mess. Guess what guys your not playing sec, washout after two years. JOKE JOKE, shelton rankin will be chasing jamesis around the field. William Jackson will be a better pro as well as Mackensie Alexander, and you could have had them later, Rankins would have been awesome beside Gerald.

I’m lovin it. I wanted a pass rusher desperately, but damn if I’m not excited to have a play maker in our secondary. It isn’t an accident he gets all of those interceptions. He is the best pure CB in the draft, with the best footwork from any CB the past 3 years. Sounds like a solid pick to me. Sure he is short, and doesn’t have blazing speed. But he can shadow receivers, and has nice quickness to make breaks on the pass, and has elite level ball skills.
Before we signed grimes we were in desperate need for a #1 CB. Grimes is a 1 or 2 year lease. Hargreaves is the future at CB. He will be a buc for the next decade. GREAT PICK!

For anyone who hasn’t taken SEC hallucinogenics the highlights beg the question ‘what has he done against REAL competition?’ Despite ESecPN over-ranking SEC teams year after year, the majority of SEC football teams can’t be considered tough competition. Also, those 3+ minutes of highlights have nothing from any of his 3 games against FSU. That doesn’t offer much hope for the future.
Still, I hope I’m wrong. He’s now a Bucs rookie and I hope he proves all his naysayers wrong.

How can some of you guys call yourself Bucs fans when this guy has similar measurables to the best corner the Bucs have ever had?? Give the kid a chance he’s not a consensus all American for no reason (in the SEC at that)
