NFL Trolling Bucs Fans

The Shield is playing mental games with Bucs fans.

The Shield is playing mental games with Bucs fans.

Joe stayed off Twitter virtually all day Friday because Joe knew, just knew, there would be arseholes putting out fake information.

Joe would just like to horsewhip these people.

But near the end of the day, despite his better judgment, Joe ventured onto Twitter and, sure enough, there was a false story about a famous athlete being injured. Right away, Joe smelled a con, did about 30 seconds of research and reported the a-hole for spam.

Once again, if a site knowingly, willfully, puts out false information, why the hell should anyone ever believe anything said site puts out? What other stories are you concocting?

Apparently, the folks who run the NFL official Instagram account didn’t know that Saturday was not April 1. After news spread that John Elway and Colin Kaepernick met to try to hammer out a new contract and pave the way for a trade, the NFL decided to troll Bucs fans with the follownig Instagram message as you can see below.

That’s just not right.

I read that article before i saw yours. Not sure what the big deal is. Its just trades one guy would like to see

  2. bucs4life86 Says:

Unfortunately it looks like Glennon is going no where. The Jets will probably resign Fitzpatrick to a 2 yr deal.

Maybe we get lucky and the Jets come to there senses and realize MG is the better long term option. I just have have the feeling it’s not gonna happen and MG will walk next year and the bucs will be left with nothing in return.

And these rumors of the bucs wanting to resign Mike are silly because there’s no way he turns down a opportunity to compete for a starting job else where.

  3. JAB83 Says:

MG and our #9 pick for,
Big Mo and the Jets 2nd round pick…

We go to the SB this year!!!!

Oh and of course ASJ will need to play in no less then 16 games…

Come on Mr. Licht….. PLEASE make this happen!!!

  4. Kevin Says:

Nobody said anything was happening. The nfl puts out things they would LIKE to see happen almost weekly.

  5. bucsblud Says:

Why is no one talking about Glennen to SF?

  6. JAB83 Says:

Does San Fran have an all pro, pro bowl DT/DE, in his prime, on the trading block, ready to be signed long term that I don’t know about???

  7. d-roca Says:

    Ja
I hope he can pull off a trade for mo. Have a feeling mikey m will want too much.

  8. Dylan Says:

    Pick 9 and Mg for
Mo????? Is that a damn joke bro. He’s a FA NEXT YEAR! you would get canned the second that trade happend man. No team will trade valuable assets(pick 9 and QB) for a player who got franchises tag and is near impossible to franchise tag again next year. So you can just simply sign him. I bet mike glennon and a 3rd round pick will do the trick. Mike glennon is worth a 2-3rd round pick himself. Pick 9 is CRUCIAL and honestly with this lame draft the Bucs should trade up for Ramsey and get the Jameis winstonnof the Bucs defense for years to come. To compete with Julio, kelvin, Olsen ect. I think the Bucs could land Wilkerson and still move up for Ramsey. The Bucs addressed all there needs in FA So we are not being forced into a pick.

  9. IndianaBuc Says:

Just read that Denver only have $3m in cap space so if Kap takes a pay cut they still would be over the cap. So do you think MG and a 3rd would go for 1-32? I know their hot after Paxton Lynch but he may not be there at 32.

  10. Architek Says:

I really can’t say it registers with me what happens to Glennon – he’s a backup.

  11. JAB83 Says:

Dude… For starters, you MG way over valued… Also, the same logc aplys for MG…

If WD get Mo here this year and he dominates… Not only will we resign him long term but we will have the best DL in the NFC South for sure for the next few years… Add to that the best LBs in the south and with Banks, Verner and Grimes… You got the next five years to rebuild the D…

Everyone is so eager to “fix” the D in the draft… But truth be told we need to finish building the O….

If you can lock up Mo in a contract he is worth the #9 pick…

If they want MG also they need to give up their 2nd rounder… We can still get a DE in the second if one JL really wants is still on the board… But i would advise BPA on O

  12. Mike Johnson Says:

Glennon is probably going nowhere. We waited to long. We probably wanted more than a team was offering. I’ve said all along I’d be surprised if Glennon netted anything higher than a 4th thru 7th rder.

  13. USFBUC Says:

Not sure why people are devaluing MG, he was a third round pick, he has started some games successfully and proven that he can play the game. The trade of MG and our first for MW and their first is a fairly even trade based on draft pick value.

    Wilkerson – 30th pick 620 pts
    Glennon – 73rd pick 225 pts
    9th pick 1350 pts
    20th pick 850 pts

I know there are other factors but I think they offset. MW is clearly more of a potential impact than MG but MW also costs far more and the Jets are strapped on salary cap. The Jets should be able to work a deal with MG and the Bucs should be able to work a deal with MW. Both teams address a need and get good value.

For the Bucs we can still land a CB or DE with that 20th pick

  14. d-roca Says:

U can put point values in it if ya want. Bottom line is the bucs will have to pony up far more than anyone has stated. Mikey macagnans a smart man. I dont think the bucs wana give up what theyre gona have to for mo. Lichts been a great drafter so far so lets see what hes got in store. Gona cost multiple draft picks plus glennon to get mo. And thats not devaluing glennon. Wilkerson is just that good, period

  15. Trubucfan22 Says:

No team is willing to trade for glennon thinking he is a starter. They would be willing to trade for him as a try out. Glennon’s value is in the 4th – 6th rounds. Bucs are not willing to lose glennon at that value. So we will end up keeping him and maybe if a qb gets hurt in the preseason or mid season we will be able to trade him away.

No team thinks glennon is an instant upgrade over their current qbs. I would rather have fitzpatrick than glennon. He has more experience and has won games with bad teams in the NFL. Glennon has proved next to nothing in the NFL. Expecting glennon to attract a 1st to 3rd pick before the draft is silly. Teams would rather use that high round pick to draft a qb with actual talent.

  16. Dreambig Says:

Trubucfan22 – I agree with a lot of what you said. Glennon could not beat out Josh McCown for the starting job last year. He wasn’t good enough to the future of our franchise and that is going to make teams pause. Dispite an ok track record when he has started, no one is going to pony up a second rounder for him. Rockstar suggested a player for player trade and that makes good sense as well. Glennon’s market value maybe as good as a 3rd rounder but to me that is a break even trade at best and you might as well keep a good backup QB for that. We lose him next year, we lose him. Deal with that next year.

  17. DaRealistBucFan Says:

Trade MG and swap 1st rd. Picks and Mo Wilk. MG is a quality starting QB in this league and we need to just stop with all the wishful thinking of going up for Ramsey unless he slides which I seriously doubt he will and it will cost to much to move up to get him. Donte whitner has just been released by the browns and Reggie Nelson is still available. At pick 20 we could get more value an still get someone like Spence for our DL or Conklin for our Online. Than comeback and get Obgah or William Jackson lll in the 2nd depending on what we do with our 1st pick. Either way things are looking up for Our Bucs and km crazy excited for next season!! We are gonna give The NFC hell!!!!

  18. DaRealistBucFan Says:

Actually @ Dreambig he could beat out Josh McClown if given the opportunity to do so. I dunno if you guys even watched the Bucs season 2 years ago but just to fill you in Movie declared Josh McClown the immediate starter upon signing him in free agency thus never giving Glennon an opportunity. In the games that MG did start while McClown had a boo boo he outplayed MMcClown but Lovie Dovie was soxhesd over heels for McClown he put him back in over MG which in my opinion was also a contributing factor on why Lovie was let go

  19. USFBUC Says:

@d-roca, actually there are several studies out there that show that NFL teams actually use those values, as random as they are.
