Licht Security At One Buc Palace

Leaks and associated draft shenanigans don’t concern Bucs general manager Jason Licht.
Unlike other GMs, Licht doesn’t keep the official Buccaneers draft board under extreme security. Remember, Joe typed up how Hall of Fame general manager Bill Polian detailed how he restricted access to only three people.
Joe asked Licht point black on Thursday how many have access to the board. The short answer? Everyone.
“I really, really trust my staff,” Licht told Joe and assembled media. “They have passed all the tests since I’ve been hired. I’ve got it to where I like it. Every single one of them are very valuable to me and I trust them. They have access to it on a daily basis. I want them to know that it’s not necessarily always exactly the way all of them want it, after we do more work – but for the most part it is, because they’re very talented at what they do. They see that board every day.”
Joe finds Licht’s approach very cool, and more evidence that he’s a fearless and ballsy GM. Joe wouldn’t be so brave.
The draft board takes shape in a big way in December, and literally millions of dollars are invested in its creation.
Any leak of that board can compromise the Bucs’ ability to trade up or down, which has been key in past years, such as acquiring Lavonte David and Ali Marpet.
Licht seems like a great guy to work for.

Sorry LUV. I was away from the puter. All is good here right now. I am, believe it or not, going to watch a game of Donkey Basketball tonight at my son’s school. First time for me. It should be hilarious. Other than that I am giddy for the Draft. I asked the Joes what they thought about putting out just One mock draft for the Bucs only and he said he would think about it. I would like to see his wet dream draft would be!!!

Not sure if you are aware where Licht’s office is, there must be at least three levels of security to get through. Virtually every door at One Buc Palace is locked and are controlled by key cards.
Pretty sure only those who are deemed worthy by Licht and Team Glazer, can only get into that room.
Not even Miko can get there unless Licht lets her in.

You are going to have to wait for a long, long time. Joe writes about Father Dungy and Chucky and Rah and Greg Schiano from time to time. Why is Lovie so special that his name shall never grace this website again?
If anything, Joe should write about Lovie daily so folks don’t forget how he ran this franchise into the ground.

Actually Joe, I wasn’t referring to you. I was referring to everyone that wants to constantly bring up Lovie vs Schiano vs Dungy vs. Koetter. I mean Leeman Bennett is rarely named around here anymore and I wish Lovie’s name was just as rare so I could get his tenure out of my mind quicker. Just one Bucs’ fan’s opinion tho.

He mentioned an LSU player during a recent press conference. I believe the guy…Deon Jones (I think) is a close friend of his. Outside LB. Duke Riley is the OLB who is replacing Jones…who replaced Kwon.
I think it is more of a team spirit thing for LSU.
But in the presser, Kwon said he would love the Bucs to draft Jones, because he ha the same fire as Kwon and they would make teams fear the Bucs or something like that.

It’s i got pretty excited to see our boys @ UFC fight night. The first thing going that I noticed was hey, GMC and Jameis are kicking it together. Maybe that will hush some of the rumors referring to GMC not getting along with Jameis and him being a little jealous of him taking over the leadership role.
I think he’s more than happy to have Jameis around, probably had to get used to not being the face of the franchise anymore but I don’t think it bugged him to the point where it was worth spreading rumors about it.
Either way, u got your leader on offense(#3), And your leader on defense. (#93). Tho it seems Kwon is slow taking that role over as well. He is more of the vocal leader and G-MAC is the veteran leader who leads by example.
