Joey Bosa Confirms Tampa Visit
April 26th, 2016Manbeast, 20-year-old, all-world defensive end Joey Bosa confirmed his visit to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this morning on NBC Sports Radio.
Talking to Mike Florio of PFT Live, Bosa said he’s confident he will be a top-10 pick but is a little more concerned with the team versus the when he’s taken.
“The right system and the right place in the future will be more beneficial … over the long term,” Bosa said.
Bosa referenced about seven teams that called him in for a visit. (Sorry, no names. Joe had to change a battery on his recorder.)
Bosa’s father was a first-round pick of the Miami Dolphins in the 1980s. The younger Bosa said his father is in his ear keeping him grounded.
“He just makes sure I’m grateful and thankful every day for this opportunity. Never let any of this get to my head. Keep the same work ethic,” Bosa said.
Bosa said his meetings with teams let him know he’s expected to make a quick impact.
“They’re not going to pick me top-10 overall to sit on the bench,” Bosa said.

I don’t see any mention of Tampa???

I have a feeling we are looking at the next DE for the Bucs. I know ppl are worried about his pass rushing ability, as am I, but if any one can coach his pass rushing skills up its Jay Hayes. And you noticed who they chose to coach the DL at the combine and pro days right. You got it.
I would take Bosa over Buckner all day.

Bosa and Spence, 1 & 2, back together again, redemption time…
April 26th, 2016 at 9:11 am
I did not know Bosa’s father was drafted by the NFL. I always like players with that experience in their life. If nothing else they have a confidence born of the experience of having lived that life with their NFL father. They are not overwhelmed by the situation. Bosa has probably expected to be a top ten pick since the 8th grade!
April 26th, 2016 at 9:12 am
A poor man’s Ryan Kerrigan. Not worth a top ten pick.
April 26th, 2016 at 9:13 am
Trade back. Pick up Billings then Spence.
April 26th, 2016 at 9:21 am
I like Bosa at #9 but I’m not in love with Bosa at #9. I need some thoughtful convincing. I know he’s considered one of the better DEs but why is he better than a Shaq Lawson, for instance (don’t say Clemson!) or Buckner?
Please help.

All World WTF
I love how we are scared to draft Clemson DEs but ready to pounce on OHIO STATE DL who don’t really have the best track record
And Busts even run in this guys family, his dad was a top 16 BUST as well
April 26th, 2016 at 9:38 am
I really wanted this guy at first, but after watching a lot more of his tape, Im not sure because of his speed. Im still thinking we trade back to 15 and if he’s still there, then why not. Then go grab Spence and a WR or CB.
But if a trade up for Ramsey could occur, thats what I want more than anything.
April 26th, 2016 at 9:39 am
His uncle was a 1st roound pick of the dolphins as well, but you are right about OSU busts there could be a team of them…but more importantly Bosa’s great-grandfather was the boss of the Chicago Outfit after Capone, Tony Arcado, so we would have that going for us, tampa needs some wild guys to spice things up, get him Nkemdiche, Spence, and Mac Alexander round 3
April 26th, 2016 at 9:48 am
@SB with Jameis LOVE that scenario. We need a Billings more than a Rankins or these other quick little 3 techs. And Spence is gonna be a stud.
April 26th, 2016 at 9:48 am
I am not going to pretend I know much about this guy. I didn’t watch a ton of Big 10 football, same for Big 12 and Pac 12.
Just hoping and trusting in Licht and his scouts, as they seem to be doing great at their jobs, so far.
When I see some of you guys with deep draft boards, including Big Sky Conference prospects, I am both impressed….and bewildered. You should be doing this for a job and getting paid, fellas.
April 26th, 2016 at 10:06 am
I am crossing my fingers that he is a top 8 pick. IMO.
April 26th, 2016 at 10:06 am
Bosa over Floyd over Buckner. Just get a DE.
April 26th, 2016 at 10:07 am
Wish I could get paid, lol…. Luv probably does more than anyone here….guy is a treasure trove of info.
April 26th, 2016 at 10:10 am
He’s saying “right system” and thinking “right team”. TB better make sure his head is in the right place before we consider him…
April 26th, 2016 at 10:11 am
I think bosa would fit right in…his father wasn’t a flat out jamarcus Russell bust….injuries hampered him within his first 2 1/2 years then he started to produce…he was never elite but a solid starter that showed flashes of his potential before all the injures….I think he can become a beast at the left de position…drafting spence or ogbah in the second round would be great followed by kendall fuller in the third…another dt that I hope slides to the second would be chris jones dt from Mississippi state…this kid is a beast but he’s likely gone in the late first round…GO BUCS!!!
April 26th, 2016 at 10:13 am
“Trade back. Pick up Billings then Spence.”
I’d love that!
April 26th, 2016 at 10:43 am
Bosa as a Buc wouldn’t hurt my feelings. Neither would drafting a corner that can cover & tackle. Or a receiver that can catch the damn football. Find some football players that can play Mr Licht.
April 26th, 2016 at 10:45 am
A top 10 talent should transcend schemes, right? It worries me that he thinks about being in the right scheme. I’d rather have a guy that feels he can produce in multiple schemes and multiple positions.
April 26th, 2016 at 11:03 am
Bosa and Kevin Dodd would be great. But won’t happen.
They signed a DE in free agency, so somehow I doubt they will draft two.
Probably, they intend to address one DE and several other positions on defense and offense.
I prefer RT Jack Conklin in the first round. As pointed out by many, this draft is deep with DEs. We can get 1-2 of them in Round 2.

Every player has these thoughts. Most just never say it out loud because they worry it could hurt where they are taken.
That said, I’m not sold on him anyway. If we take him, I’ll hope to be impressed, but something about him bugs me. Can’t put my finger on what.
April 26th, 2016 at 11:10 am
I don’t see him around to #9, and the Bucs have too many other needs to trade up.
April 26th, 2016 at 11:37 am
If Dallas & Jville pass I could see him fall to us
1. Rams-Goff
2. Eagles-Wentz
3. Chargers-Tunsil
4. Cowboys-Ramsey
5. Jags-Myles Jack
6. Ravens-Buckner/Stanley
7. 49ers-Buckner/Stanley/VH3/Lynch
8. Browns-Buckner/Elliot/VH3
9. Bucs-Bosa
It’s not that insane of a scenario.

Me too..actually…a top 7 would even be better..

I think you are dead on Lord Cornelius!!!

If OSU DL are known busts then the Browns are sure to take him at 8.
Good Jalen it is!

I happened to listen to this today.. The dude is boring and had no juice. Sounded like he smoked a bowl or 2 before the interview.

I hear ya brother (or sister lol) loud and clear. Something just ‘aint right about him…

If he gets past Dallas he will be available at 9, and I think he gets past Dallas. As much as we need a DE, if we had the number 4 pick, I can’t imagine anyone saying, “I really hope we pick Bosa with our number 4 pick.”
April 26th, 2016 at 8:21 pm
I’d stay away from this kid at 9. Rankins, Spence..even Dodd are better choices. Bosa reminds me so much of that kid from Okla St.. Bosely from yrs back who flashed for about 2 yrs and went on to some brief hollywood stints.
Not saying Bosa will not play well, I just get this feeling about his longevity.

Draft Offensive Tackle! I have Dougie in my keeper league!
