Finally, A Pass Rusher

New Bucs DE Noah Spence.
The Bucs made a major move to stop one of the more embarrassing periods in franchise history by drafting scary pass rusher Noah Spence out of Eastern Kentucky.
Of course, Spence comes with baggage. He was suspended for life by the Big Ten Conference for his ecstasy use — but moralist Urban Meyer would not punish him.
Spence, who seemed to throw former Buckeyes under the bus for drug use, will try to become the next Simeon Rice. (More on Spence right here and via the video below.)

Great move..Finally! Got a tad scary with 2 other DE’s going quickly in the 2nd. I’m elated we are addressing our Poor pass rush. Thank God!

Now get WR Boyd or Braxton. Im ok with trading up if needed. Boyd will absolutely not be there in the 3rd. Big brass ones on Jason. Virtually all of us would of traded up for Spence.

This is why you trust Licht! He didn’t panic and reach for a need at 11, he did his homework and got the best cb when they were starting a run on cbs. Then gets a player who is a hop 10 talent. I fully support these decisions, great draft so far!

Very happy with the Spence pick! Arguable got the top cover CB and pass rushing DE in the draft.
10 out of 12 2nd round picks have been Def. My 3rd round list is getting smaller.

We need a great slot receiver with some speed. Eventual replacement for VJ. We can move Banks to safety.

Agree…I’d spend a 3rd on him as well.
Flyfisher….after last year’s draft why would you even question if this was “blind pig” find. Licht has appeared anything but blind with his draft choices.

I hope I’m giving credit to the right poster…but I believe it was pick6 who gave us the term…baggage to talent ratio.
Licht has clearly figured out this ratio out. He seems to be uncanny at determining which players have REAL problems and which have simply made stupid young mistakes.
I think Spence’s talent to baggage ratio is fine. I can’t wait until training camp!

Wombat, I have to agree with you 100%. Changes are being made yearly (it seems) to the kicking game, and it would be a tremendous relief to have Aguayo behind that ball. He can pin the ball almost on the goal line from kickoff (new rule moves out of bounds from 20 to 25), and he is nearly a guaranteed 3 points from 50 yards.
People really need to read his story about growing up, playing soccer, moving over to football, the legends he studied, etc. Brilliant, amazing, and ultra talented young man.
We need to pick him up in the 3rd, then follow up with a DT and WR in the 4th.

I love the Noah Spence pick! It could’ve been a great night if we wouldn’t have moved back into the 2nd round for a kicker. lol

This guy will,be harassing Newton, Ryan, and Brees for a long time! FINALLY Poor old G-MAC is getting some help! It took 7 seasons but what the hell! He’s here now. And if we can manage to grab a DT as well to help free up GMC…we need to find a player that will take eat up the double teams so GMC doesnt have to. He should not be the one taking them. There’s still a few good ones out there so let’s go get em Licht. I think we still got one more starter to add to the defense with our 4th rndr. Either a DT or a Safety, there’s still plenty of talented ones left.

This guy will remind you of Von Miller. Not a huge guy, but a tremendous motor and plays with a nasty streak! If his off the field issues are truly behind him, this kid can be a difference maker!
