Luring free agent studs.
Early in free agent season, Joe wondered aloud what happened to the magic of America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, and his ability to lure prospective players to the Bucs.
Well, as it turns out, Joe was too quick to react. It appears Jameis still has the power of influence.
No less an authority than the first lady of the Bucs, Miko Grimes, wife of cornerback Brent Grimes, took to Twitter yesterday to announce that Jameis was a big reason her husband turned down other offers, including a higher bid from the Dixie Chicks, to come to Tampa Bay.
About the time Brent Grimes signed, Miko Grimes spoke highly of Jameis. It seemed Jameis made a big impression on Mr. and Mrs. Grimes at the Pro Bowl in Hawaii.
@iHeartMiko: the bucs was the best place for us to land. we both think jameis had IT and brent knows mike smith’s defense like he invented it. … the qb & scheme are two major keys when a player is a free agent…..unless u just tryna get paid, then who gives a sh[!]t!
So there you have it. Jameis still has that magic touch. Now if Jameis can only coax a veteran wide receiver, all the better.

I said I would not comment on another Miko story but The Sloppy Joes hooked me with the headline….
Let me put it plainly…. I always care about what other REAL fans have to say about OUR team…. So with that said, as a fan Miko has my attention on this one…
Good stuff from the Queen B…. of fans… Hope we don’t have to smoke her out the hive any time soon…. And no Miko that is not an invite to share my stash… Its a metophor

You’d be a fool to not think this team isn’t on the up rise. TB is starting to become a attractive destination for FA.
We have the franchise QB (so nice to say that) and a young and talented team behind him. Plus the beatiful beaches and sunny weather doesn’t hurt. not to mention no state taxes a’s well.

And this just the beginning,I recall after skull dragging the eagles Jamies was in the middle of the field surrounded by 6 or 7 eagle players providing him with congrats. I was like wow. You fooling yourself if you don’t believe big time football players aren’t going to be positioning themselves to play with him as the years go on. We’ve experienced our fair share of heartbreak as Buccs fans over the years. We are about to experience a gang of joy going forward.

So if you could start putting some kind of warning up in the title, when the article has any mention of miko grimes I sure would appreciate it. I’m a football fan, one who doesn’t watch tmz. Personally I can’t stand hearing about players wives, they don’t play the game. Nothing against you Joe’s, write about what you want, I would just appreciate the chance to avoid said topic all together. Thank you.

Jameis will be at Qfest with Alquan Boldin and Nick O’leary along with others. Qfest is a charity function of Boldin. Might be the perfect time to recruit.

Joe is doing a article on Miko blaming the team for infecting her husband with MRSA. She is giving insight into why a FA signs with a football team. She knows football period and she is in a unique position to both know and speak more freely than someone under the shield’s contract. Not sure why some of you guys feel so threatened by a women speaking her mind.

DB55- Is O’leary available? I’d love him to come compete for a TE FB spot on this team. I thought he was under contract with the Bills. I saw him playing week 15 so they must have promoted him to the 53 toward the end of the season.

I believe he was cut by the bills then placed on practice squad. As of December 2015 (week 16) he was promoted to the bills active roster. I too would love to see him in Tampa.

Some of you guys are assh*les. This is still America, still ‘supposedly’ the land of the free yet you have a problem when your team signs good talent to the roster. Then you want to b*tch because his wife who is not even on the field speaks her mind about her husbands affairs concerning their decision to play for a team!? I LOVE my Bucs, always will, just glad i don’t have to deal with any of you so called ‘fans’ on a regular basis!!!
