Dancing Robert Ayers
March 21st, 2016This is sure to rankle Bucs fans, and Joe must admit it irritates him as well.
Nothing like a team down three or four scores late, and a player (finally) makes a play and acts like he won the Super Bowl with an elated Look-at-what-I-did-Ma celebration. It’s enough for a fan to toss a warm $10 Miller Lite on the field.
(Personally, Joe would toss any-priced, any-temperatured Miller Lite swill somewhere other than his gullet, too, but that’s a story for another day.)
If one is to believe the voice of reason, Phil Mushnick of the New York Post, new Bucs defensive end Robert Ayers has a nasty habit of doing this when he is able to get a sack.
Thus, Mushnick is not crying about Ayers’ departure from the Big Apple.
Shucks, the Giants allowed DE Robert Ayers to sign with the Bucs. His sack dances were fabulous, especially last year, with the Giants losing, 28-7.
Joe only hopes Ayers does his “Dancing With the Stars” auditions in Bucs games — on top of an opponent.

America’s “Dancin’ with the stars” sack-meister!

Irony: If he were injured on Dancing with the Stars.

🍻well here’s to hoping we see him dancing all season long.

I don’t like the dancing, but as you suggested recently Joe, a sack is worth about a million bucks to a DE contract…… So maybe he’s just dancing for the money.

No worse than Austin Seferian-Jenkins High stepping his way into the end zone against the after the Titans and Mariota shredded us the whole first half lol

One team’s sour grapes are another teams sweet wine…

I dont care. Get the opponent angry, most teams lose focus when they get angry.

Only bothers me when an opposing team’s D linemen dances over my QB.

Best idea since Conner Barth played a charity basketball game after signing a new deal…

Why not celebrate a sack even if your losing? I think when players, like Ayers, have struggled in the NFL and then turn it around with hard work and good play a celebration should never be frowned on. The score should NEVER affect the intensity of your play!

Mushnik would find something to bitch about if he went to NO COVER CHARGE Wednesday at Mons Venus.

It really isn’t his fault their offense sucked

Talk about a player who would make a play and dance like they just won the Super Bowl, how a player who wouldn’t make the play, then celebrate like they were chosen by Wink Martindale for the Price Is Right? A la Mike “toast” Jenkins. He would be covering a slant route playing catch-up when the quarterback would overthrow the receiver and Jenkins would start jumping up and down waving his hands back and fourth to signify an incompletion which he had absolutely nothing to do with. Even when we were down by 14. That pissed me off. When you make a play or a sack for that matter, act like you have been there before.

No problem with a sack dance. Most players are more reserved during a butt whopping, but i have no problems with doing a sack dance. Getting a sack is big accomplishment. Enjoy all of them.

This mushnik fellow seems butt hurt, and trying to down play the loss. Obviously everyone thinks that vernon is an upgrade so, it is ok to down play the loss of Ayers. Whatever he’s just talking smack now that Ayers is a Buc.

I cant stand it when a players makes a play while getting there asses handed to them and celebrates. That shows me.hes.more.happy being the center of attention than he is winning. Or at least content with it.

One would hope a player is so PO’ed for being moments away from losing he’s in no mood to celebrate anything. Would hope a player would be so enraged about losing, he’d rather get a personal foul for trying to rip a QBs head off rather than perform an audition for a TV dancing show.
Same with ASJ and his stunts.
