“You Saw Growth”
February 8th, 2016Radio row at the Super Bowl media center was awash in NFL players, ex-players and celebrities. As usual, the later in the week, the crazier it got.
Among current players who did a network sitdown was Bucs safety Major Wright.
Now a non-Pro Bowl safety for a losing team doesn’t command a whole lot of interested viewers or listeners. But when that safety plays with one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the NFL, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, well, that does draw listeners.
In this interview with Will Brinson, Wright explained how Jameis got better and better virtually by the hour.
“When he first came in, you saw growth,” Wright said. “From Day One to Day Two. From Day Two to Day Three. From Day Three to Day Four. He progressed.
“He’s going to be special. Going out there and practicing with him every day … to see the level of his increased play, it’s crazy.”
Wright also briefly talked about the firing of Lovie Smith, adding it is “tough” and he hated to see Lovie gone. But now, Wright said, he must step up for Dirk Koetter.

This dude hasn’t stepped up since he’s been here. He’s part of the reason why his buddy got fired.

tmax..your wording is appropriate. Opposing QB’s get a “free pass” too when throwing his way.

No free pass from me then. No sir.
