I think Lovie didn’t pick up his option cause Lovie wanted to bring in his guy Doug Forte (older and slipping). Lovie kept looking to replace him and limit his touches. If you remember Doug would be taken out even after having a huge first half..Lovie wants any guy from Chicago he could get , except didnt sign the one who would make an impact Devin Hester!!!

Hey Joe, ive been listening to DAE for years. Your Wed afternoon segment with this guy is one of my favorites.However, I find myself turning the show off because this guy seems to know more than you, more than the press and in reality is “sports news clip reader!” Whether you realize it or not, he is condescending and totally disrespectful of you on the air!;It only takes about 5 minutes of banter for me to turn the radio off, because I literally think this “old tired” radio guy has no real context that interests me anymore. He is always right and continues to doubt anything that you have to report! Perhaps he thinks this is good radio, but in my honest opinion, your insightful input and reporting of our favorite hometown football team would be better served on another show. Would love to see your segment moved to either Diaz and JP’s show. Youd get much more respect and wouldnt have to ” drive off the road” on your way into the studio! This guy thinks he owns this town and most likely feels as though it’s because of him that you guys got the opportunity to hit the airwaves! He doesnt even cover the Bucs, nor has a weekly show featuring any of the current players! Just sayin’ brother… Ill just keep reading your columns here, but Ive sworn off that show for good! Good luck!

Actually knowing what you are talking about is not important to host that show apparently, unless of course it is gambling or golf then it is important.

The “Big Dog” is insufferable. I tuned him out 2 years ago. I called him several times to suggest that the Bolts TV broadcasts should add minutes in the offensive and defensive zones…important numbers. His response ” they’re on the scoreboard at the arena so go to the games.” He’s an expert on everything unless he has athletes on his show and then he’s humble. Joe, go on the Ronnie and T Kraz or Ron and PJ’s show and as a Gmax said..” you’ll get more respect.”
