New Lions GM Lauds Licht
January 12th, 2016Remember last week, when Joe brought word from popular sports radio and television personality Adam Schein that Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht has a stellar reputation throughout NFL circles for talent evaluation?
Well, now someone from the NFL fraternity is on record backing up Schein.
Yesterday, the Lions introduced Bob Quinn as their new general manager. Aside from lauding Bill Belicheat for being a mentor, Quinn said early in his press conference that there were four people who made his career, four people from whom he learned everything he knows about football scouting and player evaluation.
One was former Patriots vice president Bucko Kilroy, the second was Thomas Dimitroff, third was former Patriots and Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli, and the fourth was Licht.
Later when asked why Licht, Quinn said, “Jason Licht has the Tampa Bay Bucs headed in the right direction.”
Joe thought that was pretty cool and it should comfort Bucs in these trying times, as Licht tries to give the franchise direction. If a guy who famed former front office man Ernie Accorsi recommended to run the Lions believes he learned much of his football acumen from Licht, that says a lot.

Watch out now. Mr Licht it’s all you from here and I feel damn good about that.

So as a talent evaluator, Licht didn’t see it in Lovie.

Not a shocker . The guy gets it and that is why i have no worries about the bucs going forward. He will not except losing. Ask lovie, Johnson, and Collins how he fills about that. Nobody is perfect but he is swinging the bat pretty good .

He should have ran football operations from the start and got to hire his own hc, instead of working with Lovie. Live and learn. I just fell confident that Licht will choose a good hc and we are just a few good moves away from contending.

LMAO at Thomas Dimitroff. He absolutely sucks as a talent evaluator. Biggest mystery in ATL is how he still has a job.

We are not going to see if he can evaluate coaching talent.

I want to know, WHO was responsible for signing all those free agent Busts ?
Let’s all hope it was all Lovie’s fault.

Dimitroff was a former Bucs aide too wasn’t he?
