Kwon: God Is Telling Me Bucs Will Thrive In 2016

Kwon Alexander shares intimate details

Back in 2010, when Tampa Bay was last a quality football team, God was coaching Gerald McCoy.

Seriously, McCoy explained.

Now it seems the Lord above is shining on the Bucs again.

Rookie Kwon Alexander spoke on the Ronnie and TKras show this week and revealed that a higher power than Team Glazer sees a strong Bucs season in 2016.

“I messed up and I was supposed to have been out there [on the field. But I just prayed about it, you know, and God is telling me that this year is going to be our year,” Alexander said. “So I just can’t to get back on that field with my teammates. So I’m just going to go out there hare this offseason and grind hard and be ready.”

This is great news. Yeah, it’s hearsay. Joe can’t confirm Alexander’s chat with true greatness. But Joe will buy in. Winning the Chase for Jameis last year is proof enough that the Bucs are blessed. Perhaps it was God who told Team Glazer to fire Lovie Smith?

You can hear all of Alexander’s talk via the WDAE-AM 620 audio player below.

    Kwon Alexander the Great. Can’t wait to see you and the rest of the defense turn things around next year. I’m still shocked that the coach is gone but the future is still bright Tampa. I have a feeling once things are revealed to us that this huge move that some call a mistake is gold. Just wish we wouldn’t have to wait a week for the organization to make the announcement. #dirkkoetterera

    @Joe … ‘Perhaps it was God who told Team Glazer to fire Lovie Smith?’

    Or perhaps it was Lovie’s 8-24 record over his 2-year HC stint that prompted the change? Or perhaps the undisciplined defense? Or maybe it was the fact that the NFL is a BUSINESS to the Glazers and their bottom line wasn’t what they expected?

    My personal ‘guess’ is that the Glazers (and Licht) told Lovie that his defensive staff wasn’t getting it done and needed to be replaced. Lovie balked and called their bluff, but it wasn’t a bluff. Eery similarities to Tony’s dismissal perhaps? (except on the other side of the ball)

    @defense rules

    From what I just heard, the second to last straw was the Franchise QB calling out players who were goofing off after being crushed in the last game of the season!!!

  4. Defense Rules Says:

    Ok, I’ll bite Realist. If that was the second-to-last straw, what was the last straw?

  5. lurker Says:

    jiminy christmas! realist is at it again.

  6. The Buc Realist Says:

    So, the top 2 picks in the draft got their head coaches fired…

  8. Lovie's Basement Says:

    I’ll be interested to see what changes to the defense are, aside from personel. I mean, what does Ghingus Kwon look like in a 3-4 or a traditional 4-3? This is going to be a very interesting off season and year.

    @buccoDav

    No, It was the D-line dancing around, Having a great time after they just got there 7th blow out of the season to end the season. And the Owners are wondering why is the QB having to say this is a problem. None of the Defensive coaches walked over and said “cut it out”!!!!

  10. Jbeachbuc Says:

    Yeah ok Kwon, let’s see what kind of a player you are without the Juice, Then talk to me about it.

  11. DavidbigBucsFan Says:

    For once I agree with Realist and that wasn’t even painful at all. Who woulda thunk it!!!

  12. The Buc Realist Says:

    @Davidbigbucsfan

    I smell a change in the air. And I think we “ALL” are going to like it!!!!!

    Go Bucs!!!!!!

  13. BuccoDav Says:

    @Realist

    I agree but it made as much sense as Joe stating Mariotta got his coach fired…

  14. DavidbigBucsFan Says:

    Yeah you’re it’s time because if I had been coach and heard about the fun they were having they all would have been cut that evening. Lovie is a good guy and doesn’t deserve the hate thrown at him but does deserve his termination. Like you and I think ’87 have said before the Bucs especially the defense has taken on Lovies personality. I think Gerald “Boys Just Wanna Have Fun” McCoy has to go. He’s not right for the way this team needs to go. We need more Wrath of Kwon types who play with anger but still are good sports. What’s more fun for a defensive player than crushing a ball carrier or an o lineman pancaking someone into the turf then to watch Dougie make a huge gain? Players can be aggressive and have fun at the same time.
