January 8th, 2016Joe brings you this interruption of all things Bucs coaches to offer this important announcement: The Bucs have an All-Pro.
This Bucs player is running back Doug Martin. The beloved Muscle Hamster has attained rare honors in his fourth season in the NFL. He was named by the Associated Press to the All-Pro team.
Martin and Adrian Peterson were the two running backs honored. No other Bucs player was named.
Joe now resumes his regularly scheduled Bucs coaching programming.

Sign Doug, promote Dirk, america’s QB is going to get the help he needs.
Can we get a coach that shapes their scheme around the talent they have?
January 8th, 2016 at 2:42 pm
Atta boy! You deserve it 22 congratulations!
January 8th, 2016 at 2:50 pm
Congrats Hamster!
Hope youre Back in The Bay for 2016!
January 8th, 2016 at 2:52 pm
Congratulations Doug!!!!!! We deserved!
January 8th, 2016 at 2:54 pm
^well
January 8th, 2016 at 2:54 pm
Way to not beat the crap out of your kids too Doug! All Pro player and All Pro Man!
January 8th, 2016 at 2:54 pm
Btw Joes, just saw something on that other site, that a player called lovie a “buzz-kill”, in the locker room right before the Saints loss…
Shep was getting the team hyped up, used some expletives, and Lovie told him to stop, and told the team to quiet down… Minutes later they come out flat down 14-0 against N.O….
January 8th, 2016 at 2:58 pm
He doesn’t deserve it until he stops fumbling… Way too many fumbles to be an All Pro IMO… Sorry but its true…
January 8th, 2016 at 3:04 pm
small hands? maybe he should have jameis get the balls deflated some! heck, it might even help evans, et al, catch the damn ball.
January 8th, 2016 at 3:05 pm
@mac, so then AP doesn’t deserve all pro either as he lead the league in fumbles with six, Doug at 4…
January 8th, 2016 at 3:07 pm
Joes just so you know, only the first team was announced today, so it’s possible another bucs player could be an all pro.
January 8th, 2016 at 3:09 pm
4 fumbles all year bro. Simmer down.
January 8th, 2016 at 3:18 pm
Big Dawg sounds like another BSPN talking heads… probably just trying to stir things up.
January 8th, 2016 at 3:19 pm
Old Bill
AP fumbles too much but he can pass block and catch the ball out of the backfield… Martin fumbles too much and is one dimensional… That’s why we drafted Sims.
January 8th, 2016 at 3:20 pm
Looks Like Big Dawg is the Leader of the Lovie Apologists…
January 8th, 2016 at 3:22 pm
Just further evidence that Lovie’s defense was an absolute fail. Teams should win when they have a good ground and air game. Playing from behind way too often…coming out flat….so glad there’s hope for 2016!
January 8th, 2016 at 3:23 pm
The 1, 2 punch makes it more difficult for opponents. Sign him now!
January 8th, 2016 at 3:27 pm
Mac,
You do realize Doug had more receptions than AP this year correct? And Min has McKinnon as their pass catching back, and from watching most the games Martin did pretty well pass blocking I think you’re making this up, but you’re entitled to your opinion not matter how ridiculous it may be.
January 8th, 2016 at 3:31 pm
From the first carry this year, you could tell Martin was on a mission.
The dude really set the tone on offense at least.
Need more players like him!
Thanks for a great season Doug!
January 8th, 2016 at 3:42 pm
FIRE LOV-… oh nvm
January 8th, 2016 at 3:51 pm
@Mac – you really shouldn’t make comments when you’re absolutely clueless. Most of the posters on this site are well informed and when you say something so stupid you will be called out immediately. You’re either a casual fan or just a moron if you think Doug is one dimensional at this point in his career. My advice is to put down your phone, tablet or keyboard the next time you are thinking about making a comment on here.

Old Bill
You need to go rewatchedd some film… Do you have the NFL pass so you can do that? I do. Doug Martin is the WORST pass blocking RB in the NFL… If you don’t think that matters ask our team leader J. Winston… Martin got him killed several times this year…
I’m not saying Martin sucks… I’m saying I would like to see him eradicate the fumbles and learn how to block… Your right about AP having less catches by three…
January 8th, 2016 at 4:06 pm
Dougie is a good running back but DO NOT re-sign him for next year. Why do you think he had a killer year? $$$$$$$$$$$$$. Odds are he isn’t the same guy next year or for years to come. Had a good rookie year and a great 4th year. Years 2 and 3 were garbage (I understand he was injured) but you have to look at whole body of work over all four years.
January 8th, 2016 at 4:14 pm
Well Joe, your boy Duemig agrees with Steven A and says the Bucs fans are racist.
January 8th, 2016 at 4:30 pm
Congratulations, Doug! You’re about to get paid enough money to setup your family for generations to come. I hope it’s here in Tampa, but if not, I understand.
January 8th, 2016 at 4:31 pm
Damn that Schiano for helping draft Martin to the Bucs! Congrats Doug, hopefully you have several more healthy and productive years with the Buccaneers.
January 8th, 2016 at 4:32 pm
Hope hes a Buc for life. Congrats Dougernaut.
January 8th, 2016 at 4:44 pm
3 years $15 mil $1 mil sign bonus
January 8th, 2016 at 5:08 pm
All these negative comments coming from people that do not know a good player..what tools are posting today..you must be a party-in-a-box at home..
January 8th, 2016 at 5:22 pm
Doug is exciting scampering through the holes like a human pinball. Not bringing him back would be a total fail. Go Doug!
January 8th, 2016 at 5:26 pm
Bucs have a ton of mmone under cap. It would be asinine not to sign him.

January 8th, 2016 at 6:14 pm
We need a running back in the ring of honor, sign him. He has the potential.
January 8th, 2016 at 7:10 pm
Congratulations to Doug Martin. It’s refreshing to have a shiny object during otherwise stressful times. Now give him a Good contract, He has given the Buc’s many highlights during a dismal season,
January 8th, 2016 at 7:13 pm
Congrats dougie!
January 8th, 2016 at 7:15 pm
Pretty stupid that Mack was awarded 2 spots. Take away from the integrity of the all pro awards imo. Could have used the spot for a guy who deserved it. You know, like the guy that had numbers equal to and better than other linebackers awarded all pro….
January 8th, 2016 at 9:16 pm
Congrats Doug! You earned it – along with a nice 2nd contract.
3 years – $20M total with $10M guaranteed ($5M next year and $5M up front as a signing bonus) is fair for both sides. Get-r-done Jason Licht.
January 8th, 2016 at 9:24 pm
Congrats. Your YAC were just amazing this year. Your vision, patience, elusiveness, and power made you the best in the league in my opinion.
January 8th, 2016 at 11:48 pm
Yes sir. Congrats. Too bad the defense stunk things up so often. We were always playing catch up in the second half of games and had to pass more than run you and eat the clock. You could have earned the rushing title.
January 9th, 2016 at 12:15 am
Even when he was having a down year, or two I cheered for him. That dude never forgot how to run, I’m glad to see him healthy, and getting his props.
January 9th, 2016 at 12:54 am
First order of business sign 22 to a contract. Proof is in the puddin. Decent Oline and QB threat equals All Pro and nearly rushing title just a hair behind AP. Stop making excuses not to lock up a sure thing.
This is one of those moments where you look back and say if only we kept Doug Martin…
Do it
