Since Bucs fans somehow have become hypersensitive about interceptions in practice, Joe has decided to offer stories on established star quarterbacks throwing picks in practice. (more…)
Joe realizes there is a fringe faction of Bucs fans that wants to see Jameis Winston, America’s Quarterback, shut up and know his place as a rookie.
And half of those lunatics think Jameis should be in a fair competition with Mike Glennon for a starting gig. (more…)
What’s more soothing at lunchtime than America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, connecting for a touchdown with Vincent Jackson?
Joe can think of a few things, but this is still loads of fun. (more…)
Joe’s already called opening day against the Tennessee Titans on Sept. 13 in Tampa a “must-win.”
It’s not a must-win for the standings. Duh. But it is necessary for the psyche of a fanbase that’s hasn’t seen a home victory since 2013, and compares Jameis Winston to Marcus Mariota. (more…)
Lovie Smith is going to stop you in your tracks if you tell him his defense is just like the one his great friend Rod Marinelli and the Dallas Cowboys are playing. (more…)
Urinal picture-taking, video game-playing, Taylor Swift-listening, pickpocket-thwarting, Bucs-uniform-frowning, Allie-LaForce-smitten, Big-Ten-Network-hating, pedestrian-bumping, olive oil-lapping, popcorn-munching, coffee-slurping, fried-chicken-eating, oatmeal-loving, circle-jerking, beer-chugging, cricket-watching, scone-loathing, college football-naïve, baseball-box-score-reading, NPR-honk, filthy-hotel-staying, fight-instigating, barista-training Peter King, Lord of theMMQB.com and keyboard-tapper for Sports Illustrated, and yakker for NBC Sports, recently came to One Buc Palace for a drive-by hit on reporting from Bucs training camp, and he decided to take on Gerald McCoy in a game of Madden. (more…)
As a general manager with a shaky offensive line, it takes strong manhood to draft a Division III offensive lineman in the second round, and then try and convert the guy from left tackle to right guard with a goal of starting as a rookie.
But Bucs GM Jason Licht didn’t hesitate in May, and now Marpet Madness is sweeping One Buc Palace and JoeBucsFan.com world headquarters. (more…)
This is the season of the notorious question, “Who is looking good?”
Joe gets it all the time in August. All the time. Joe’s knee-jerk reaction is to mention a Bucs cheerleader of the past. However, these questions are about Bucs players in training camp. (more…)
Joe has typed the following before, but still some readers refuse to believe.
You know the type: members of the flat earth society who believe you can win a Super Bowl with an archaic, run-first offense with no quarterback to speak of. (more…)
During the last two training camp practices, “America’s Quarterback,” Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston, was mostly sharp. In his first few practices, he had more rough first steps but overcame them each day. (more…)
Team Glazer has rewarded Lavonte David for three stellar seasons. (more…)
Boy oh boy, Lovie Smith sure loves himself some Mike Jenkins.
It’s getting to the point Joe is wondering if the two are related. (more…)
No one will ever accuse Bucs coach Lovie Smith with Chucky. For one, Lovie doesn’t have a ring.
For another, Lovie is a defensive guy; Chucky is all offense. (more…)
Your Bucs were back at it for their fourth consecutive day of training camp practice at One Buc Palace. The sun was broiling and Joe’s got a pile of his famous notes and observations.

One player having a nice training camp is Robert “Hands” Herron, who this year is showing much better hands.

Gerald McCoy got a “veteran’s day” break at training camp practice today, but McCoy couldn’t stop working. (See video below.)
He wants a higher level of greatness and to set the right example. (more…)
Last year, the best Bucs running back was Bobby Rainey.
Then came the “Nightmare on Mangum Street,” where the Dixie Chicks chain-whipped the Bucs as if they were direct descendants of Billy Sherman himself. All before the eyes of the nation in prime time. (more…)
You can read plenty about the new Kenny Bell in the post before this one.
But here, Joe’s got a very close video look at the Bucs offense and Jameis Winston, America’s Quarteback, connecting with his roommate and the Bucs’ 2015 fifth-round pick. (more…)
It sure seems Bucs’ fifth-round pick, wide receiver Kenny Bell, got bad advice this winter heading into the NFL Scouting Combine. (more…)
Yes, “America’s Quarterback,” Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston, is but a rookie. One helluva talented rookie, that is.
But with all rookies, there are growing pains, learning curves. It’s just a matter of time until a rookie makes an error or two or three. (more…)
