“Whole Game” Of No-Huddle Coming?

December 4th, 2015

lovie 1110bThe Falcons sport the NFL’s fourth-ranked offense and ninth-ranked defense, yet they’re struggling mightily.

Turnovers are killing Atlanta.

In this very interesting Bucs-Falcons CBS preview video below, former quarterback Brady Quinn, ex-Jets personnel chief and linebackers coach Pat Kirwan and prickly Pete Prisco gather to pile on the Falcons’ offense and its coordinator, Kyle Shanahan.

Of course, their focus is Matt Ryan and what might be wrong with him. But they think his troubles are primarily Shanahan more than anything else.

The trio hope the Falcons get back to what they do best, running no-huddle offense. Kirwan thinks the Falcons should go the entire game against the Bucs in no-huddle, and Quinn is all for it, suggesting the Tampa Bay defense is to simplistic to shut that down.

Regardless, in a shocker, all three pick the Bucs to win Sunday. Enjoy the video.

I am incredibly worried about this game, as well as the next one, plus the Rams, even they “appear” to be our weaker opponents…

Really hoping I’m wrong and we get a solid performance again, a la the philly game. Let’s go Bucs!

  2. unbelievable Says:

    *even though

  3. Bobby Says:

I certainly don’t see this being a low scoring game. I think both offenses will put points on the board. Once again I think turnovers determine the winner.

  4. Tampabaybucfan Says:

We absolutely must score…..I think we will need 35 to win……

  5. Tampa Tony Says:

Sure hope ATL gives the Bucs the game again.

  6. Strider.... Sec 146 Says:

ASJ Dougie M.E and VJax watch us drop 30 points every game to finish the season jameis is going to show us what winners are made of can’t wait for Sunday 4 quarters loud and proud at Ray J. Make noise this Sunday !!!

  7. Johnny "America's Commenter" Dejay Says:

These next two games will tell us if the Cowboys/Eagles wins were real or just fool’s gold…

  8. Waterboy Says:

Lots of defensive injuries this week, it’ll be tough to matchup with their offense. Hopefully the offense can step up and carry the load. Long sustained drives ending with TD’s and lots of Doug Martin should keep that no huddle offense off balance.

  9. StPeteBucsFan Says:

Last Sunday on Fox only 3 of the 4 pundits made a pick in the Bucs-Indy game.
All three picked the Bucs to beat the Colts!!

Let’s hope that the three guys this week haven’t jinxed us once again!

  10. Buccfan37 Says:

It’s looking like the two NFC wildcards will be two of Minnesota, Green Bay or Seattle. The lesser win teams can win the rest of their games and not make the playoffs. After 11 games the playoff makers are pretty much already decided in the NFC.

  11. Buccfan37 Says:

Except Atlanta, at 6-5 going unbeaten here on out would land tham a wildcard, maybe. Like that’s going to happen playing Carolina twice. At any rate Sunday’ Bucs game will be the elimination of playoff contention for the loser.

  12. Pawl Says:

Hey Johnny, we already beat Falcons once

  13. Couch Fan Says:

Are you sure we beat the Falcons as opposed to the Falcons handing us the game? I guess we shall see what happens this time. I dont expect ATL to turn the ball over like it did last time.

  14. DallasBuc Says:

I doubt that incompetent Lovie Smith has the ability to get his squad up for a serious division game like this in December with the whole season on the line. He couldn’t even get this team prepared for the Titans.
Would really enjoy being wrong about this while I watch my Bucs pummel the nose-diving Falcons. Just don’t see it.

  15. Danati74 Says:

    ASJacuzzi is back. Dunkaneer time?

  16. Hugh Januts Says:

You Buc fans shouldn’t worry , we wont score over 10 pts with this garbage offense Shanahan has us playing. The arrogant little punk is a QB killer plus the whole league has this o figured out.

  17. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

I think many of you will be surprised by this game.

    We’re entering a 4 game winning streak.

  18. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    @DallasBuc

I cannot believe you are still complaining over the first game of the season. Good lord, man…get over it!

I do not believe for a second that you will be happy to be proven wrong, because that would fly in the face of your claims about Lovie…and heaven knows you would not want to admit you are wrong about him.

  19. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

I think it would be great if the Bucs went all no huddle, catching the Falcons off guard.

  20. orlbucfan Says:

Okay, Koetter’s (recent former Falcon offensive coach under Mike Smith) offense will field the o-line which has been rapidly improving all season. It will also start Famous Jameis (QB), Muscle Hamster (already over 1000 yds.), and C. Sims (can run and catch the ball out of the backfield as can the Hamster). Tight ends will include a healthy ASJ and a rookie whose last name starts with B and is already proving his worth. Wide Receivers: V-Jax, ME, Humphries (still another valuable rookie), etc. Now, why can’t this offense not score AT LEAST 24-30 points or more? Connor Barth will make all his kicks. Last week embarrassed the poop out of him. The rest of the ST will show up as they have pretty much all season. The game will be played at RJS in Tampa. These are all positives for Tampa Bay. The big question will be an injured defense. Plus, the refs–Bucs must play smart and outwit them. I noted that a Falcons fan posted a comment on this thread that shows how disgusted they are up in Hotlanta.

I normally don’t write comments the length of an essay. I still say 8-8. Why can’t we win this weekend? Go Mighty Bucs!!

  21. DallasBuc Says:

Bonzai- getting your doors blown off by a rookie QB and awful football team to open the season after going 2-14 leaves a rotten taste in my mouth for the incompetent in charge here. But fine let’s say I’m over it. Still doesn’t change the fact that they got beat handily by a geriatric in Indy last week.
Look the hapless and QBless Cowboys were a questionable defensive holding call away from winning that game and everyone seems to be hanging 45 on Philly. Don’t get me wrong it had been a party around these parts with a 2 win streak but let’s not act like it is realistic to have faith in incompetent Lovie Smith. He has a record as the Buccaneers HC and it is miserable.
    Go Bucs

  22. DallasBuc Says:

Bonzai- or maybe “heaven knows” you don’t want to be wrong about how you think other people feel about sht. You like being the guy that claims to have providence over the right way to think and be. It’s your self-righteous shtick and I suppose you usually get away with it in your weak circles.
Lovie Smith is incompetent until proven otherwise. Mike Clayton Evans until proven otherwise. Lapdog Licht (likes to jump in pools inappropriately) until proven otherwise.
