Jameis Scores Another NFL Award
December 3rd, 2015While Joe is much more impressed by America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, being pegged as a top-10 quarterback in the NFL, Joe is still pleased to see the latest in the Jameis shower of accolades.
Jameis was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month in November, an honor Mike Glennon earned back in 2013.
Well done, young Jameis.
Of course, the key is Jameis sustaining consistency and improving. Since Jameis’ meltdown against Carolina, he has thrown 10 touchdowns versus three interceptions, and the Bucs are 4-3 in that stretch.

Its hard to believe that it took the “career backup” 3 games less to earn that honor less than JW3!!!
Correct me if I am wrong, but MG8 did not even have the luxury of majority of snaps with the #1’s in Training camp and preseason as well!!! quite impressive for the ” career backup”!!!!!

@TBR: You are a troll. You are what’s wrong with the Bucs fan base. JBF is a better place without you.
December 3rd, 2015 at 11:36 am
Jameis is wayyy better than Glennon, dude. Get a clue.
Physically, they might have a similar skill set; but internally, Glennon is a gazzelle and Jameis is a fn Lion.
December 3rd, 2015 at 11:53 am
You don’t have to tell us who is the Lion and who is the Gazzelle, we all saw the 40 times and MG8 was faster!!!!
I am a fan, I just think that MG8 rookie year was also impressive!!!!
December 3rd, 2015 at 12:00 pm
MG8’s rookie year in my opinion was impressive with everything going on but I am totally behind winston and what he brings to the bucs in many areas, still have no confidence in Lovie but if ME can start catching and the bucs hold on to Brate and dougie this is a making of a great future offensively, now get rid of lovie and bring someone in who has a clue defensively and the bucs will start to be talked about the same way the panthers are now
December 3rd, 2015 at 12:11 pm
@realist…yeah mg8 running out of bounds inches before the first down marker was very impressive…what was mg8’s win/loss record again? I believe jameis has him beat in that category…if mg8 was starting material, he would be starting, simple as that…GO BUCS!!!
December 3rd, 2015 at 12:53 pm
Surely no one’s arguing that MG8 is a better QB than Winston. No one can be that blind. To suggest so is simply trolling.

Realist
You are living in past. You would have far more fun being a Buc (if you truly are), if you jumped into the present and future with the rest of us.
Ps… no offense, but you’re becoming tiresome also.
December 3rd, 2015 at 1:41 pm
Where are the haters? I was telling everyone how great JW would be and was laughed at.
December 3rd, 2015 at 1:51 pm
The fact that Realist thinks MG is even in the same stratosphere as JW show how bad his football IQ is. Lol.
Winston made more plays / “wow” throws in his first couple games than Glennon had ever done in his entire career. The month he put together in November has been much more impressive than MG’s best performances all put together. Not even close dude. Not that I needed any more reasons to give 0 value to you thoughts and opinions

The REALESTNITTPICKER should be your new screen name! No matter what you always try to mar anything posutive Lovie has done with this team with your incessant banter.
Jameis “the Fameis” Winston = HERO
The so called Buc fan (yaaaawwwnnn!!) Realist = ZERO
Glennon was never very impressive as a starter. A few moments here & there but lack luster. How many games did it take him to get to 5 wins ? ? ? 5 – 13 is not a very impressive number since you and your kind always hound on Lovies record here. When he leaves I truly hope he takes you and your pals with him.
December 3rd, 2015 at 4:08 pm
By the way how much faster was Glennon anyways???
How many touchdowns did he run in as a rookie???
Jameis has 4!!!
How many yards rushing did he have???
Jameis has 200.
The few times I ever saw Glennon run he looked like a giraffe with a broomstick up his backside. Brad Johnson had more moves than him!
How many times did Glennon sell out his body trying to get a touchdown or a first down ???
How many Rookie of the Weeks did he get???
Jameis has 3!!!
How many awards did Glennon ever have in the 18 games he started ???
Yeah real impressive!
Truly a troll. You only come out of the shadows when there’s a cloud hanging over the Bucs.

@Davidbigbucsfan
I believe baby giraffe on ice skates is the proper way to describe Glennon. Glad we kept him though, its a sign that our front office had faith in this season. Idk why anyone would think we could make the it deep into the postseason with Lovie Smith as our HC but kudos for trying!
December 3rd, 2015 at 9:31 pm
Yeah you’re right but now he’s expendable with that young back up learning Koetters system.
December 4th, 2015 at 1:23 am
LOL at the gloating Tennessee fans that got way too happy about their week 1 win!!
now their team’s best case scenario is hoping to find the right coach for Mariota (who’s been on a downward trend) and a run at the #1 pick while the Bucs are still in the playoff hunt & have the front runner for Rookie of the Year that’s improving every week!!
December 4th, 2015 at 11:06 am
I’ve always liked Glennon but watching Winston, you can just tell he is the better QB. I am just happy we have 2 capable QBs. Now if we can just get a capable HC to go along with them, we’d be in the playoffs.

It’s not about you and your agenda. This article is to honor Jameis Winston. Stop trolling and get a real life!
