Louis Murphy On The Mend

Rehab video.

The magic of modern technology and medicine. And since it deals with the Bucs, Joe’s readers might like an update. And it is about Louis Murphy.

The No. 3 Bucs receiver blew out his knee in the Capital Collapse at Washington. He had surgery about 10 days ago.

It wasn’t that long ago that such a knee injury would have been a career-killer. Or at best, Murphy would be off a football field for a year. Those situations seem like caveman days now.

Just three days after his surgery, Murphy was back to rehabbing and working out, albeit gingerly. Murphy posted a video of his rehabbing on Instagram (caution: the background music is blaring and your boss may freak).

In case you don’t know, Murphy is a local guy, grew up in St. Pete and played football and hoops for Lakewood High (man, that school had some impressive hoops teams). Joe’s pulling for him. If nothing else, Murphy’s work ethic is stellar.

On the road to 1hunnit , 3days out of surgery 🙏🏾 #CallGod #GrindState #GrindMode #GrindMore #positivecircle

    Rooting for Louis……a solid number 3…..seems to make most catches and gets open enough…..think Jameis loves throwing to him….

    It too bad the Bucs aren’t using Blood flow restriction (BFR) training. The Gators, Texans and many other NFL & College teams are using this with great effect.

    You would think with the money he makes he wouldn’t have to buy his tee shirts from Goodwill…Rivalry Week, Go Noles!!!

    Would love to see Murph 100% by 2016 training camp. Superb work ethic, great leader by example, and an excellent #3 WR.

  6. Fsuking Says:

    Why did it take him so long to get surgery?

  7. Willy D Buc Says:

    @FSUcking:

    The swelling has to go down before surgery can be performed.

    So although I am possibly the biggest ASJ fan on this site I have to say it…. Modern Medical procedures don’t seem to be helping out my boy none 🙁 I sure can’t wait to see him beating out!!! Won’t be long now I’m sure…. I sure just hope he is getting fat on some humble pie and comes back with that fire of a guy with something to prove and does it like a BOSS!!!!
