So…I just took a look at the schedules. Falcons (one game ahead of us) play the Panthers two more times. We play them only once more, in the last game.
They play us two more times as well, and this week is their bye week.
So…if we win today, we will be second place. Even if we lose, it’s looking good for us to claim the second place spot in our division by the end of the season.
If we win 4 of the next 5 games (which is very, very possible given who we face), we may just develop enough to beat the Panthers in the last game. Maybe. They have a very easy schedule from here out as well.
Which doesn’t seem fair given what they did last year.

1,000 yards would be nice…but not new contract nice. I want to see him reach 1,500 yards rushing. 2,000 yards total.
Martin had 1,454 yards rushing and 1,926 total yards in his rookie year. It’s not unreasonable to expect him to top that after 4 years of experience.

We only have one more loss to give and still be solid for the wild card.
We need to win today.
Carolina is the “wild card” in our schedule. If they are undefeated going into the 16th week they’ll be soooo incredibly motivated in front of the home folks. I just think we need another year and one more great draft to reach Carolina quality.
They are still the better team.
However….if the Panthers lose a game before then I go with Joe’s theory of the Panthers resting their starters…they’ll have literally nothing to play for. Then we have a good shot at winning that game.

Our defense has got to stop this crap. We get no pressure but remain in the zone. It’s Hasselbeck for God sake. Get some pressure on this dude. That was way too easy of a drive. Short passes over the middle all day every day until this line gets pressure.

Leaping, guys. They called leaping on a play that wasn’t even remotely close to leaping. Please NFL, justify this officiated game. Let me hear about the P.I on Evans, the constant holding all game let go against the Colts, leaping, the hold on our TD. Give me a break. the Bucs had to take on the Colts and refs and it left us with no chance.

Our defense sucked today. The Colts blocked our pass rushers so much better than our guys did theirs. We deserve this loss but c’mon some of these calls have been totally awful. That catch and fumble by the Colts was a takeaway and the late hold call on Verner? That was so bad. Then the leaping call. Conte didn’t use his teammates to jump, he made it on his own cleanly. Going back that hold on Martins TD was completely a no call.
The Buc defense may have lost this but the refs took the fun out of rooting for the Bucs.

This game we did not play great but the refs were atrocious. You cannot win when everybody you do gets taken away but the refs. The took away a td, a turnover, and called a phantom leaping call that gave them and extra 4 points.
