“Absolutely Tear Them Apart”
October 30th, 2015Thank goodness there’s a Bucs game in two days. It’ll finally wipe the lingering stain of the Washington washout from the minds of Bucs fans.
But the seasoned football men aren’t expecting a competitive Bucs team in Atlanta on Sunday.
It’s the weekly Bucs matchup breakdown by former NFL quarterback Brady Quinn, ex-Jets coach and personnel man Pat Kirwan, and CBSSports.com insider prickly Pete Prisco.
They all rave about Jameis Winston, America’s Quarterback, but see no hope for the Bucs in Atlanta on Sunday. Quinn is convinced Matt Ryan “will absolutely tear them apart” because the Bucs’ defense is “too predictable.” Kirwan thinks Atlanta’s top-ranked run defense is the real deal and won’t allow a 100-yeard rusher (Joe doesn’t buy that for a minute) and prickly Pete thinks Atlanta wins 33-17.
Joe agrees with Quinn. What shot do the Bucs have to stop Atlanta in their house? Perhaps Joe is jaded by witnessing Atlanta rack up a 56-0 lead on the Bucs through three quarters last year on Thursday Night Football. Joe’s ears still hurt from how loud the Georgia Dome was after all those points.
If the Bucs are to win this game, then they likely need the 32 points it would have taken to win in Washington.
There’s plenty more in the CBS video below.

If Julio gets hurt during the game they have a chance to stay within 2 TDs. Otherwise look the hell out, he’s gonna destroy that weak ass secondary.

its gonna be ugly and very very disappointing.

I remain optimistic that the Bucs will make a game out of it. Call me stubborn.

Sounds real encouraging. At least we have a defensive mastermind roaming the sidelines. With no pulse. Actually both defensive coaches don’t have pulses. We’re screwed.

It dosent matter. Man or zone. Blitz or no blitz. This defense has nothing for Atlanta. Our only hope of winning is with a strong running game to keep the clock moving and for Jameis to take over the game and score touchdowns. Thats our only hope. Other than that….maybe Jac Smith and Mccoy can get some pressure and knock off Ryan, maybe our corners wont look quite as bad. But this defense really needs to get alot of different looks going to throw the offense off but I doubt we can pull that off.

56-57 Bucs
Screen shot it! Hahaha

The smart money is on the Bucs losing. Not just this week but any given Sunday. It’s become sickening. I don’t think we have a chance and that is sad. The only glimmer of hope is Winston and Martin having big games. ASJ seems iffy and no V Jax is a recipe for disaster. This is reality and the Bucs reality is probably a top 10 pick in the 2016 draft.

Falcons probably when by 2+ scores.. I am thinking 34 – 24..
Ryan will get 300+ yards and 3 TDs
Freeman will get 100+ yards and 1 TD
—
Winston will get his first 300 yard game with 2 TDs and 2 INTs.
Martin will be held shy of 100 yards getting 86 yards and 1 TD. I dont see them taking him out in goal to go situations again any time soon.

On any given Sunday any one NFL team can beat any other NFL team. There’s no question that some teams are more talented than others … some much more talented. But teams are close enough that things like how badly one team wants to win can tip the balance, as can ‘Lady Luck’ and even refs calls. If I were a betting man I’d put my money on Atlanta, but then again folks have lost before when they went with the obvious choice.

The Halftime score will probably be 28-7 Falcons.

Some teams can recover from a loss like we had against the skins. I’m not convinced we can. ATL is playing pretty darm good and I do believe we will need to score in bunches just to keep up. Yes, we can and will score. Just can’t seem to stop anybody…at least not consistently or win the game is on the line. I do want to pick us. Just can’t. FALCONS 35 BUCS 28

@University of Seffner
Maybe their coach will decide they have enough points and we can have a huge comeback. Oh wait, they aren’t coached by Lovie Smith.
October 30th, 2015 at 5:52 pm
At least they dont have Harry Douglas any more. I frickin hate that guy.

Maybe if our coaching was not stupid enough to have our corners playing 10 yards off the oponents receivers we would have a shot. But dumba$$ lovie smith put his offense into sleep mode and defense into prevent for 30 minutes of football. How can this be???How can someone who knows the game so well do something so stupid. Play press coverage with a single high saftey rolling over to help cover julio jones for four quarters. That is the ONLY way this team has a prayer. But it wont happen. Im sorry but this Sunday will likley be so painful to watch it by the end of the first quarter its pathetic. We have a ton of talent on our roster. This coaching blows. Look at alllllllll the good players who have left to become solid starters or stars on other teams. That says it all. Ownees who lack passion for the game lead to bad coaching lead to losses and lead to players doing whatever they can to get on another team. Most of the time players play for theyre jobs. But I think by now other teams have caught onto the trend that when a player does not perform here….its becasue he IS here in tampa. Once another uniform goes on with coaching they become the player they were expected to become out of college. This team is a train wreck. Lovie needs to wake up for the sake of the fan base his job and jameis winston. If he gets fired we would be LUCKY for koetter to stickaround
October 30th, 2015 at 6:11 pm
I’m expecting a blow out. It should be obvious by now that Lovie just doesnt get it. He pays no attention to the flow of the game and sticks to his outdated philosophy of scoring FGs and relying on your (non-existant) defense. Only chance we have of winning this game is if the Falcons dont show up, literally. 4-19, here Lovie comes.

Wow! I wish to remain optimistic but I see only one possible way we luck out and win this game. We are forced to turn Fameis loose and he tosses four TD’s and we run another in on special teams and the defense scores a TD. Those six TD’s help offset Matt Ryan’s 5 TD passes as he carves up our defense with minimal effort.
Seriously does anybody even see a fart in the wind’s chance of us even slowing Ryan and the Falcon’s passing game? OTOH I think we can score on them if we simply turn it loose.
